"Ek Mutton Estew aur Tandoori Roti." That was our first order at this heritage restaurant. The service was really quick. Their special Estew is a signature dish and it did keep up it's name with the soft and fluffy bread. The Mutton Rezala, with soupy consistency and really very unique infusion of flavors was really good. Mutton Korma was good too, but not something I would be thrilled to try again. Not to mention that the mutton in every dish was perfectly softened to perfection. Mutton Biriyani was good, not very oily, subtle flavours without the strong essence, perfect Kolkata Gharana, goes best with the Mutton Chanp. The ambience reminds of old school Calcutta with every bite. To end with Firni is a must. It's like no other firni I've tasted. Subtle sweetness with perfect texture. One portion of each of these side dishes together was sufficient for 3 of us. To wrap up it's definately a must try for all Mughal cuisine enthusiasts.

New Aliah Hotel started 97 years back is a historic and one of the oldest Mughali restuarants of Kolkata. Situated in Bentinck Street (4 minutes walk from Chandni Chowk metro station) , this place has two floors ( AC and Non AC) seating arrangements. It’s famous for it’s mutton rezala, biryani and mutton chaap. We tried - 1) Mutton Biryani 2) Chicken Biryani 3) Mutton Rezala 4) Mutton Chaap 5) Tandoori Butter Roti 6) Chicken Reshmi Kebab Recommendations - obviously the rezala and biryani.

It was a bit shocking to see no review of this legendary generations old restaurant. Anyways if you still haven't eaten here & want to experience a no nonsense muslim cuisine be there asap. All the items are good. But my favorites are thier Mutton Stew or Ishtoo with some of their Khameeri Tandoori Rotis, Mutton Tikia with Parathas & of course their Biriyanis. Aliah one of all time favorites.

Today I visited this place with my parents for lunch. We tried there Chicken Tikka Kebab, Mutton Biriyani, Mutton Stew, Mutton Chaap and Tandoori Roti. All the items were just amazing taste. The services and behaviour of the staffs were also very good. This is my favourite place for mutton stew since childhood.

Visited aliah to taste there specialty Murg Musallam. The Price is INR 780 For 1 portion and The full of PALM OIL where it supposed to cooked in ghee. There was no Keema Stuffing Also inside the Chicken... Its not at all Mussalam. Its a Chaanp Gravy On a whole Chicken. When we told them there reply was 'Aapne Late Kar Diya aane me' that is why quality is like this... I mean really. I went there with my mum to experience a good lunch from far away and they just ruined it for us. Dont Visit, They serve pathetic food.
