My recent dining experience at Nu An Li was a blend of classic ambience and satisfying flavors. Stepping into the restaurant felt like entering an old-fashioned Chinese eatery, with its well-lit and tastefully decorated interior setting the stage for a pleasant meal. We kicked off our culinary journey with the Fried Spring Chicken, which, while not particularly exceptional on its own, was elevated with a squeeze of lime, offering a decent start to our meal. For our main course, we opted for the Mixed Rice Noodles and Chicken in Hoisin Sauce. The noodles, generously portioned for three people, impressed with their flavorful mix of ingredients, while the chicken dish delivered a delightful harmony of savory and sweet notes. Despite our initial hiccup with the overly salty Fresh Lime Soda, the attentive host promptly addressed our concerns and replaced them without hesitation, showcasing the establishment's commitment to customer satisfaction. Overall, Nu An Li left us with a positive impression, earning a solid 4 out of 5 rating. With its inviting ambiance and flavorful offerings, it's certainly a spot worth revisiting for a taste of traditional Chinese cuisine.

Though the first impression with this restaurant didn't go that well as it opened on 1 p.m., neither according to Google nor Zomato. But as we stepped inside the restaurant it welcomed us with a rustic Chinese eatery vibes. Well-lit Chinese lanterns, Buddha idols, neat and clean ambience, touch of Red in every nook and corner definitely made us feel the authenticity we generally can get in the Old Chinatown eating houses. Now coming to the food, first we had the inevitable Chimney Soup (Small). It contained 4 bowls of soup, full with chicken, pork and fish chunks, pokchoy, lots of veggies, mushroom, 2 poached eggs and mei foon. Customization can be done. There was no spice or sauce in the soup, more like clear soup, but tasted amazing. Next we had Pork Spare Ribs in Black Bean Sauce. Well, we didn't like it that much. The dish was too salty, and there was hardly meat in the pork pieces, price was also too much. Otherwise the taste would had been good if there was less salt and less bone. Lastly I must say, if you like authentic Chinese cuisine then you definitely try this place. But if you're not fond of the bland taste then it may not be likeable to you.

I’d been meaning to try this restaurant for a while and finally got the chance. It’s usually not very crowded, but don’t let that fool you — the food is actually really good. The wings and pork chops stood out, and I liked that they could be customized to taste. Prices are very affordable, which makes it even better. The ambience could use a bit of improvement, but overall, it’s a solid spot for tasty, budget-friendly food.

Must visit if you crave authentic Indian Chinese, are a sucker for pork with good fat to meat ratio, prefer quaint places with a zen vibe or looking for places to eat neat hazra 🙈 So we tried their ✅Pork Fried wontons (4/5) ✅Pork spare ribs in black bean sauce (4/5) ✅Dry Chili Pork (5/5)

The food is decent. We tried the chimney soup, a host of starters and a couple of mains. Most of them were decent, nothing extraordinary. The service is great and the interiors are like a traditional Chinese eatery, as expected. Definitely worth a visit.

This Chinese hidden gem was on my wish list for long time. Finally visited and got impressed by the ambience. Nice family Chinese restaurant, broad menu, authentic to mix dishes. But the food quality and pricing felt bit odd. Chimney Soup Small @ Rs.350 (4/5) --------------------------------------------------------------- Probably the healthier soup after Chicken Clear Soup in Chinese Cuisine. Apart from its serving style in special pot, it tastes same like Clear soup with lot more meat, prawns, eggs, mushroom, vegetables and mei foon. Small portion is enough to fill five bowls and  Chicken Sizzler @ Rs.280 (3/5) ------------------------------------------------------ Saw everyone in the restaurant ordering this so ordered it. Coated chicken pieces simply tossed in sweet and sour Chinese sauce with carrot capsicum onion and chilli served in a sizzler plate. Tasted okay but nothing spectacular. Roast Chilli Pork @ Rs.370 (2/5) ----------------------------------------------------------- Meaty and fatty flavours of the pork was being dominated by burned oil taste. Too much soya sauce was used and it tasted little bitter. I was expecting it much better but somehow very disappointed.  Too much price for the portion served. I think Dley, Tung Nam, Rinki serves way better Roast Chilli Pork, almost same quantity for around Rs.230.  Conclusion -------------------- Nu Wan Li serves good Chinese food for South Kolkata people who haven't explored China Town and Tiretti area. But who knows these areas will probably not visit them second time.

Hidden Gem in Kolkata. FRESHLY cooked food. Great aroma and flavour of pork dishes and noodles. Chimney soup was nothing special, heatimlng mechanism didn't work properly. Simple ambience. Great service. Owner was rude at the people serving making the atmosphere unhealthy. P.S. THE PLACE IS NOT BUDGET FRIENDLY

Today the 1st of oct 2024.Visited the restaurant for dinner at around 7pm. Had chimney soup- Very poor quality,Raw and tasteless. Garlic chicken - Very poor quality and taste. Mixed pan Fried Noodles- Poor quality.No salt in food.Tasteless.Not fried properly.Served in a gravy made from Boiled starch water.Raw. Mixed Fried rice- Burnt and we returned and cancelled this dish as we were already disgusted with the poor food quality. VERY POOR QUALITY / BAD Food served.The standard has fallen very badly. I advice you to Not visit this place for meals.Do not spoil your Pujas.

I had ordered this evening MIXED FRIED RICE & CHILLI PORK DRY through Zomato. Experience was too bad. Rice was just boiled sort. Pork Chillie was full of fat. Meat was hardly visible. Smell of MSG was aparent from fried rice.
