Kolkata is blessed with a number of great restaurants and the menu, the decor, the service and the food exhibit a great deal of passion. However, when you walk in Popo's you don't feel like you entered a restaurant that was built with passion, you feel the place place was built with heart and soul. The honesty, hospitality and humility of the place are unreal. It transfers you to your own comfort zone and you just feel like you are having a cosy dinner with family or sharing a pot luck with friends. Every dish/drink is served with love, warmth and generosity. The dishes don't compete with each other...each one stands out on its own. The highlight of my visit was meeting Chef Doma Wang. She was the lady of the house (not restaurant, cuz she makes you feel like a sweet mum at home who feeds you with love and care). I've been to many cafes, restaurants, 5 stars and dhabas but Popo's is different and will always be, cuz every corner, every service and every morsel is soulful.

Tried Popo’s by Blue Poppy recently and honestly, it feels like a hidden paradise. The place is quiet, cozy and very welcoming, and the staff are super polite and humble. We ordered Crispy Prawn Toast and Chicken Momos for starters, followed by Chicken & Egg Garlic Fried Rice with Kalo Chicken. For drinks, we had Passion Fruit Boba Tea and Banana Pepsi — both were really unique and refreshing. Everything tasted amazing, and the overall dining experience was great. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for something different and comforting!

An impromptu visit to this fantastic cafe about 10 days ago and it was nothing short of perfect. We had crispy Prawn toast, Sonams chilli chicken, shamu datshi, Himalayan butter tea, rice tea.. whole thing costed us 2200.. totally worth it! Prawn toast was my favorite though.. Special mention - the chef stood outside and served us a few times too, very very professional.

Had a fabulous experience at Popo's today! Tried quite a few interesting dishes! Yak churpi, Pork with bamboo shoot, momos, tingmo, prawn in toast - everything was absolutely outstanding, not to mention the service. The staff were very attentive and forthcoming with suggestions. Would love to pay a visit when I am back in the city!

Delicious food, standout dishes - Aubergine with Sauce, Tingmo, prawn toast, iskus dumplings, and pork losar. Also worth trying out are the Butter Tea and Rice Tea. A delightful culinary experience and a special shoutout to our very knowledgeable server who made our experience even better.

Warm, cosy place with excellent food and service. We tried out crispy chilli pork, chicken kothay momo, tingmo, aubergine in chicken gravy & fire rabbit ice cream. Every single item was too good! Highly recommended. Will visit again very soon.

This is probably the most overlooked food place in town. The losar pork roast is of a texture that I have never seen with any other pork in the country. try the prawn toast, momos, noodle broth.

The food is great, service also top notch. Must visit restuarant for lovers of tibetan, nepalese & bhutanese cuisine.

We ordered smoked chilly pork- which was so salty that we could not finish it. Server insisted that it is supposed to be salty but it was way too much. Prawn toast was the showstopper- best of the lot. Chicken steamed momo was ok, a little dry. Datshi was good, but we had better before.

The quality of food and portion size has deteriorated much since our last visit there. We were very happy with our first visit where we had gone to celebrate a special occasion. But, this time around the experience was so bad, it spoiled our anniversary dinner.
