Few days ago I had visited Rendezvous Monotel Kolkata, they recently introduced their jamai Sashti special unlimited Buffet starting at just Rs 1199. We all know Monotel is famous for their luxurious hospitality, beautiful Ambience and delicious food. Visited this luxurious restaurant located in Salt Lake, Sector 5. Tried Jamai Sasthi special bengali food, my recommended food items are Luchi ar Kochi Pathar Jhol, Chingri Macher Malai Curry, Kolkata Style Chicken Biryani, and Shahi Tukda. Definitely visit this place and try these items.

They are offering a delightful Bengali buffet with a variety of traditional dishes, all freshly prepared and full of authentic flavors. A well maintained Staff behaviour and the inviting ambiance adds to the overall experience.

Starters and Main Course were really good. Enjoyed the experience. Specially Mgr Raj, Bappa were fabulous and I hope we will do revisit.

Ambiance and service were good. Food spread was also decent but I was upset as the chicken starter wasn’t boneless. I think for a buffet with Rs. 999 list price it should offer boneless chicken starter. Most of the food taste was also okay okay, but didn’t think what they served as Chicken Changezi was that, it could have been chicken masala as well. They were serving buffet directly to the table and I’m okay with that considering not many guests were there. NOTE- There was no signal for mobile, had to ask to let me access the wifi. Be prepared if you are planning to pay via Zomato

We were utterly disappointed with the Dinner buffet at this place. The starters were of poor quality and one item was cold. The main course was a disaster, with only basic items such as a pulaw and chicken kasha, which tasted of only turmeric. There was a so-called Chinese item, where the chickn was more flour than actual chicken. The desert section was equally disappointing. Though the price was very affordable, they have degraded the quality to make profit even with these low prices. I would recommend the management to improve the quality of food and keep a higher rate. The hotel and the restaurant have great ambience and the place is very clean. However, if they do not improve the quality of their buffet, it's will have very less returning customers.

Went for buffet and it was the worst food experience ever. Most of the items were stale and stinking; strong smell of spoilt vegetables and curd. Even found a strip of metal scrubber an item.
