Quite contrary to their name 'King of Biriyani..' is the actual taste of food. The normal chicken biriyani which was priced 360 per plate wasn't at all up to the mark. It felt tasteless (with a bland piece of chicken and potato). The worst part of the visit was the 45 minutes long wait at the venue to get food served. Went with a hungry tummy, eager to devour the delicious food (as per some of the reviews) ; after a while felt like leaving the place without taking a bite of anything. We wanted to order biriyani initially but the waiter told us that would take an hour or so, so shifted to butter nun and kashmiri chicken which couldn't be delivered by them after 45 minutes long wait. Upon enquiring about the preparation status, the man stated that biriyani was ready, which we reordered (after cancelling the nun and side dish). Not to miss, the whole place is infested with houseflies which feels too unhygienic.

I had a very disappointing experience with this restaurant, and unfortunately, this is not the first time. About 3–4 years ago, when this place was operating as a Chinese restaurant called Shanghai, I visited with my family. We were served spoiled food, and the service was extremely poor. There were not enough staff members to manage customers properly, but the biggest issue was that the food itself was spoiled. It was a terrible experience, and we suffered because of it. Now the restaurant has been renamed Sultanat, apparently focusing on biryani. Today, we ordered through Swiggy. According to the menu, we ordered one Special Mutton Biryani, which was supposed to include biryani rice, two potatoes, two pieces of mutton, and one egg, along with one Regular Mutton Biryani, which should have contained biryani rice, one potato, and one piece of mutton. However, when the order arrived, the Special Mutton Biryani had only one very small piece of mutton, only one potato, and no egg at all. The second mutton piece was completely missing. Even worse, the Regular Mutton Biryani had no mutton whatsoever—only two potatoes. We immediately contacted both Swiggy and the restaurant. We called the restaurant around 20–30 times. They ignored almost all of our calls. They answered only once, said they would look into the issue, and then never responded again. With the current prices of mutton and eggs, this kind of service is completely unacceptable. Customers pay for what is clearly mentioned on the menu and deserve to receive exactly that. Serving incomplete orders and then ignoring customers is highly unprofessional. Based on both my previous and recent experiences, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. I sincerely hope others read this review before deciding to order from or visit Sultanat, so they can make an informed decision and avoid the same disappointing experience.

This restaurant runs a complete scam with online orders. I ordered 2 special Mutton biriyani where they list on their menu that each pack contains 2pc of mutton, 1egg and 1 aalu. When I received the order they have not even provided 1pc single mutton chunk in either packs. It seems they have packed the order from the leftover buffet menu which they serve during noon with only rice, stale and smelly pieces of aalu and egg alongwith few shreded pieces of mutton. I request people reading this review to abstain ordering from this fraudsters. I complaint about the issue to the Zomato help team and they took the restaurant agent on call but they simply disconnected the call without a proper explanation as if they knew that the matter was deliberately done. Zomato provided me with less than half the amount of the total order price I paid initially. I had to accept an incomplete and wrongly packed item with full price. I hope my review reaches out to the restaurant management, though I doubt these malpractices for online order would still remain the same. Please save your hard earned money and do not order food online from Saltanat.

Food quality not so good..They served starter very slow approx 10 to 15 min gap in every items..when I paid the bill by "district app" restaurant manager saying that district app promo offer is not applicable for buffet menu..So why district aap restaurant list showing perticular this restaurant when we are approaching for some discount?why it's not mentioned their?After making payments why we have to deal with this kind off unprofessional behaviour?Look into this matter immediately otherwise this resturant or" District app" both credibility will go down..

*1/5 stars* The biryani was a total letdown 😔. The rice was stale and dry, and there was no flavor or spices to save it. The ingredients seemed old and poorly cooked. Overall, a very disappointing experience 🙅‍♂️. Wouldn't recommend.
