Samrat Hotel & Restaurant in Srirampur offers a cozy, casual ambiance with comfortable seating and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is attentive, polite, and knowledgeable about the menu, need improvement in timely service. The menu includes a variety of dishes, particularly Chinese cuisine. While most food is appreciated, some dishes, like rice chili chicken, have been criticized for being overly sweet. The restaurant maintains a clean and hygienic environment, adding to the overall comfort. With reasonable prices, the place offers good value for money, making it a solid choice for casual dining. Overall, it’s a recommended spot for a relaxed meal, despite occasional mixed reviews on specific dishes. We tried Tangri kabab Chicken Biriyani Keshwari pulao Mixed Fried Rice Roshnai Mutton Roshnai Chicken Chicken Kosha Masala cold drinks Fresh Lime Soda Blue Lagoon

Since my childhood..... A resturant!! what was called... I'd knew by one Name... "Samrat" on Srirampur... All season delicacy with a vibrant menu and impressive customer satisfaction...! My family had a great time. We always come here to dine in or take out.. never disappointed! Always welcome 🤗 with open handed. Some how the chair 🪑 over here changes by the time but arrangment were same.. They also went through changes of chef n staff but one thing stays constant.... "The vibrant ambience"!!... I wish a very warm regards 🤗 to all of "Samrat" owner and team.. you guys 💕 are doing one hell of a awesome job. "Samrat"... The legacy continues, I hope I can bring my kids to give them their first restaurant experience here.. as I got from my childhood. Me being a Professional Chef.. a review and best wish to the 35-40year of glorious old restaurant.

Overall, Samrat is a nice and longstanding restaurant. I have known and been a loyal customer to this place for over 20 years now. No matter how many new restaurants and cafes pop up in the heart of Serampore, this place will never lose its charm. The food, hygiene, and environment are always excellent. However, recently one thing utterly disappointed me: seeing how in this scorching and unbearable summer heat, their gatekeeper is compelled to wear such a thick velvet Maharaja costume. I feel it's unnecessary to make someone wear that suit in this uncomfortable weather all day. His presence at Samrat restaurant is highly valuable and appreciated, given his polite behavior with all customers. He always greets us with a warm smile and never fails to present his best behavior. As a loyal customer, I can tell he has no problem wearing that costume in all seasons throughout the year. Yet, I could not ignore the fact that it's inhuman and unjust to ask him to wear that costume during peak summers. I humbly request Samrat restaurant to look into this matter and allow him to wear some breathable light fabric during the summer months. It's an absolute personal feedback and request as a customer of your restaurant. Hoping to see a change. Thank you.

we had order for 2 Chicken biriyani and 1 mutton biriyani . the biryani taste was average quality . it was too salty and mutton size not up to the mark . Not value for money . In This price there is more quality biriyani in the market . so I suggest need to focus for quality increase.

Food Quality is good . The starter is quite good. Had the fish item but again when it comes to the main course the quantity is not satisfactory. Being a hotelier, expected a lot from this place.

Once upon a time this place at Shrirampore was very famous for their quality of food. But now they know vloggers marketing on social media will give them customers, so they've started serving junk. No matter what people will see YouTube and come. The ambiance here is decent, service is bit slow, waiters don't know what’s their bestseller or specialty, they simply say everything here is best. We tried below items. Mutton Biryani @ Rs.290 (1/5) Bharwan Tangri @ Rs.390 (3/5) Fresh Lime Soda @ Rs.79 (2.5/5) Bharwan was normal Tangri kebabs with mutton keema stuffing, tasted smoky and juicy with coriander garnishing on top. It was average in taste. Biryani rice grains were completely mashed with a strong unbearable fragrance of attar. Rice was oily, brown and mashed with too much oil or ghee with barista on top. Potato wasn't very creamy. Mutton piece was well cooked but was ordinary in taste. Overall, the Biryani was extremely disappointing with just attar and ghee bhat taste. I think Mukherjee's Restaurant serves million times better Biryani than this. As the price is same Mukherjee's should be your first choice for Biryani. It's very sad to see how restaurants are increasing their prices day after day and decreasing the quality at the same time.

We had ordered for approx 10 chicken and mutton biriyani in total and the delivery was supposed to be made within 8:30 to 9 they came approx at 9:45 Plus the taste of biriyani is so different from what you get in Aminia or Kareems . Not from sreerampur so have no idea if thats the taste they like but all of us who were from Kolkata and we are used to Biriyani from high end restaurants as well as street one's Plus the chicken in the biriyani was simply tasteless, just a boiled piece Only perks is that the quality is a lot according to the price and they provide boiled egg as well
