Not at all the kind of experience I have had in the south Kolkata outlets of the same restaurant. Half of the menu was not available. Order delayed.

We have visited saptapadi in Salt Lake countless times, and our previous experiences have generally been very good, especially when it comes to the service. Unfortunately, our recent visit on Saptami for dinner was a major disappointment. On arrival, we were presented with two options: the à la carte menu and their special Sharodiya thali. The staff recommended the festive thali, assuring us that it was very good. Based on our past experiences and their recommendation, we decided to give it a try. We ordered two fish fries, one Sharodiya special thali, and an additional portion of steamed rice. To be fair, the fish fries we ordered à la carte were good and met our expectations. However, the thali was extremely disappointing. Almost every item was served cold, bland, and lacking in flavour. The pulao in the thali was not cooked properly, and to our surprise, even the additional portion of steamed rice we ordered was undercooked. This significantly affected our overall dining experience. We understand that Durga Puja is an exceptionally busy time for restaurants, and maintaining consistency during such a rush can be challenging. However, that cannot entirely justify serving food that is cold and inadequately cooked, especially when the restaurant itself recommends a special festive menu. What made the experience even more disappointing was the contrast between the good quality of the à la carte fish fries and the extremely poor quality of the thali. Having visited this restaurant so many times in the past, we expected much better. This review is not written to undermine the restaurant, but to highlight a genuine concern as regular customers who have enjoyed dining here on numerous occasions. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and pays closer attention to food quality, preparation, and consistency, particularly during the festive season. A restaurant’s reputation is built not only on its best days but also on how consistently it delivers a good experience.

I ordered two chicken starters. One was ok and another was stale. I had to return the item. We also ordered a plate of luchi kosha mangsho and Pulao. Luchi and pulao was quite good and but again the kasha mangsho though well done had a strong smell of lamb meat. Not marinated well. Overall a forgettable experience. When we were leaving something we ignore, when I checked the bill I was billed 2 plates of kasha mangsho while we ordered one. The plate that we returned was not charged though. It was overall a horrendous affair with saptapadi. Posters were uttam kumar and Suchitra sen was the only respite. No complaint on service though

Total scam, they are intentionally pricing uo the dishes by 200% and the. Providing a 55% discount A single piece of garlic nan is priced around r RS245 And a simple crispy corn “salt & pepper” cost you 750/plate Nonsense They are making a fool out of their customers and making them pay more Totally worthless
