My favourite eaterie in China Town! The people are so warm and hospitable, especially the owner. He is the sweetest man and greets you with a big smile and stories, but not in an intrusive manner. Nothing to say much about the food. Everything is great! The chilli garlic pepper chicken, the fried wontons, paired with the house special chilli chutney and a cold beer- absolute perfection! Special mention would be the steam rice with veggies and chicken. It's one of the most comforting main dishes you'll order. The place does not have aesthetic ambiance to offer, but is a perfect place for a laid back hang out with friends/fam with great food.

This place is a hidden gem for Chinese food lovers.. No fancy decor and stuff but the place has an old school charm, cosy ambience ideal for families, friends and colleagues.. The food tastes really good, especially the juicy chicken drumsticks for starters and the Cantonese noodles for dinner.. The portion size is more than sufficient for two people.. The staff and the owner are very polite and respectful.. One of the best eateries on a budget! 👍

A Tangra Gem for Authentic Flavors Had a fantastic lunch at Shun Li Eating House in Tangra today! If you’re looking for scrumptious food that hits the spot without breaking the bank, this is a great pick. The **Chicken Lollipop** and **Chicken Fried Rice** were the absolute stars of the meal—full marks for flavor and execution! The **Steamed Wontons** and **Mandarin Fish** were also very enjoyable. While the **Chilli Pork** and **Gravy Chilli Chicken** were decent, they didn't quite reach the heights of the other dishes. The Experience: Service: The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming; we actually had a great time chatting with the people there. Ambiance: The seating is basic and no-frills, but perfectly comfortable for a family or group meal. Logistics: A huge plus for Tangra—they have dedicated **car parking space**, making the visit stress-free. Overall, a wonderful spot with reasonable prices and a very heart-warming vibe. Definitely worth a visit! In my journey to taste food from every restaurant in China Town, Shun Li has been on my list for a long time. This is relatively a smaller and less popular option. Prawn Chips @ Rs.160 (3/5) Drum Stick in Chili Garlic @ Rs.265 (4/5) Chicken Egg Rice Noodles @ Rs.280 (3/5) The Drum Stick in Chili Garlic Sauce was fresh and juicy. It wasn't the best in China Town yet, quiet good but could've been a little more saucy. Additionally, they gave a green mint chutney that tasted excellent. Rice noodles had ample veggies, chicken and egg but had a smell of boiled noodles. Prawn Chips were a bit too oily. Good part of this place is that their own free parking is available. Food is good, and the pricing is decent for the portion served. Drinks prices are 2x the MRP. However ambiance is not that great for family dining. Hope to visit this place again to try their Chicken Steam Rice.

Went to Shun Li in Kolkata with friends and had a really good time. The food was tasty, fresh and full of flavour. We tried a mix of dishes and everything was well-prepared. The alcohol selection was also nice and went perfectly with the food. Service was very good – the staff were attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Overall, a great place to hang out with friends for good food, drinks and a lively atmosphere.

bhuleo momo order deben naa karon sheyta odr menu te nei & tarpor apnar jonyo baniye diye exorbitant daam nebe. amar theke 2 plates chicken steamed momor daam 1200 niyechilo 😭 raate mod kheye aar kotoi baa jhamela korben apni daam komanor jonyo. kintuu khabar bhalo, daam din din boddo beshi hoye jachche.

Ambiance is pretty normal with minimal decorations. We ordered chicken wanton and it's so delicious specialy with their signature green chilli sauce.

Good Chinese dishes available. Taste is really good for those who likes authentic Chinese. Service and staff are also good.

Had tried: Shun Li special noodles- Rs.290 Chilli prawn(half plate)- Rs.435 Soft juicy prawns thinly coated and crispy fried and sauteed in a bit spicy sauce make the chilli prawn ideal for your Chinese food cravings. Also half portion is enough for two people as it had total 8 prawns. Noodles was also tasty, loaded with veggies, chicken, egg, and prawn, and huge in portion than other normal places. So if you are visiting China town, Shun Li will be a great option to try.

The restaurant AC was not working. Another one was making pathetic sound. The manager was more interested in watching his cricket match, than looking after his guests. Overall dirty cheap disgusting environment.
