This place was in my wish list for a long time around Tangra. So thought of giving it a visit.. Went few days ago, the place is like local street food shops.. But the food quite amazed me.. Had ordered chicken soup, chicken wantions, wanton noodles and garlic chicken. The quantity was very good must say.. The prices are cheap. Only felt that the place was not so clean and hygienic.. During this pandemic they should definitely look into this matter. Otherwise a good place to have Chinese.

Sunshine restaurant - এক মন খারাপ করা সকালের গল্প সকাল ৯ টায় সেদিন পৌঁছেছি চায়না টাউন এ। Kimli খুলে গেছিলো কিন্তু আমার মাথা আসলে শয়তানের বাসা। ভাবলাম আজ Wonton noodles মানে সিঙ্গারা চাউ নতুন কোথাও থেকে খাবো । কালীমন্দির পার করে kafulok এর বোর্ড দেখতে দেখতে ডানহাতে ঢুকে পড়লাম । রেস্তোরাঁ বা ইটিং হাউস যাই বলা যাক , নাম তার Sunshine। অর্ডার করে দিলাম সিঙ্গারা চাউ সাথে কিছু এক্সট্রা সিঙ্গারা। প্রথমে স্যুপ এলো , প্রায় অর্ধেক বাটি শেষ তখন এলো চাউ। সকালে আমার বেশী খিদে পায় তাই খুব তাড়াহুড়ো করে সোয়া সস, চিলি সস মিশিয়ে সবেমাত্র এক চামচ মুখে দিয়েছি ব্যাস তখনই বুঝে গেলাম যে জীবনে যে প্রচুর ভুল করেছি সেই তালিকায় Sunshine নতুন এক সংযোজন। নুডলস এর কোনো স্বাদ নেই মনে হল নুনের বদলে চিনি ছিটিয়ে দিয়েছে আর ওই লাল লাল রঙের সস থেকে ভয়ংকর রসুনের গন্ধ। অনেকক্ষণ বসে মনকে বোঝালাম সব মিলিয়ে ১০০ টাকা হচ্ছে , একটু লড়ে নে ভাই। কিন্তু দূর্বল মন , অনেক কষ্ট করেও অর্ধেক নুডলসও শেষ হয়নি। বেরিয়ে প্রতিজ্ঞা করলাম Wonton noodles যদি খেতেই হয় খুব ভোর হলে Laotze temple এর পাশে ৭০ টাকার দোকান আর বেলা বাড়লে Kimli বা Ah Leung। শুধু কি ১০০ টাকা স্কুটির তেল খরচও তো আছে। 😔😔

This is probably the cheapest restaurant in China Town. But the ambiance is not what everyone will like. Dining area seems not maintained, dirty, unhygienic with a rustic look. But they've separate ac dining for drinks, still not suitable for family. They don't have a big menu like most of the restaurants of China town. But service is extremely fast. Steam Wanton 12pcs @ Rs.70 (3/5) ---------------------------------------------- Their wantons aren't clear white like other places, seemed like it wasn't made only with maida maybe a mix. Taste and filling was average. Pan Fry Chicken 4pcs @ Rs.100 (2/5) -------------------------------------------------- Sliced chicken pieces cooked in chopped onion gravy, tasted like egg curry. Pan fry chicken is not served like this. Egg Chicken Garlic Noodles @ Rs.170 (2.5/5) -------------------------------------------------------- Thick noodles, burned garlic punch strong aroma was present but it wasn't very spicy. Tasted below average, portion was okay. Sun Shine Special Chicken 4pcs @ Rs.120(2.5/5) ------------------------------------------------------------- Nothing special, just chicken cooked in lots of veggies and soya sauce based gravy. Tasted very ordinary. China town is known for excellent Chinese food but don't expect that here. Their food prices are like roadside stalls but their food quality doesn't even touch roadside quality. If you're completely broke and not with your family then only visit them otherwise ignore this place.
