I absolutely loved That Red House Cafe, and I highly recommend it for a dine-in with friends! The food is simply delicious, with standout items like the Oreo shake and chicken sausage pizza that are sure to satisfy your cravings. What really makes this place special, though, is its cozy homely ambience - it's the perfect spot for relaxed get-togethers and catching up with loved ones. Whether you're looking for a chill spot to hang out or a comforting atmosphere to enjoy with friends and family, That Red House Cafe is definitely worth a visit. I'm already looking forward to going back!

This cafe is a visual treat that serves up a storm! This aesthetic cafe's menu is a delight, with mouth-watering pizzas, crispy sandwiches, golden French fries, and expertly crafted coffee and cold beverages. Every bite and sip is a delight, and the Instagram-worthy decor makes it a must-visit spot. Cozy vibes, friendly staff, and delicious food - what more could you ask for? Perfect spot to catch up with friends or enjoy a solo retreat..

We went there on a holiday after lunch and ordered iced tea. The drinks were good enough. They have a bunch of board games and a very peaceful cozy ambience. We spent an hour or two playing a card game and sipping iced tea and it was a perfect date. There are a lot of food options as well that we still need to try but definitely looking forward to going there again.

The cosy neighbourhood, the silent noises of the street, the simple ambience of the cafe makes you come back. Most importantly, each and every dish is simple yet taste card is 10 on 10. Just enjoy this place.

Quaint, nostalgia-laced and staying true to its name, this café is perfect for the times when you truly want to catch up with someone. No fluff and no frills ...what you see is what you get. Situated on the ground floor of an aging South Kolkata house, tucked away in the bylanes behind the Mandevilla branch of South Point school. The decor is charming, with mismatched chairs, an olden-day mirror and desk, and framed watercolours of Indian couples. The menu is short but the chalkboard lists a long list of specials. We ordered a chicken penne in alfredo sauce, ham and cheese sandwiches, chicken popcorn and the Dharamtala fish fry. Of these, the popcorn and the sandwiches were delicious. The fry was a bit smelly so we sent it back but the replacement piece was outstanding. The penne was average, a tad sweet for my taste. We also ordered an iced cappuccino, a virgin mojito and a lemon iced tea...all of which were decent. It's a great place for long conversations without any music in the background! And oh...they also have some decent board games.

Hello everyone! I really hope you all get to read this . I am (27 Female) and me along with my friend (she is a journalist) decided to visit "That Red House" cafe on 7th of May 2025 around 6.30 pm for a pre birthday meet-up. I pre booked with Zomato as planned. We both decided to meet at the cafe after our office hours. I was a bit early and reached the cafe near about 6 while my friend was still on the way..The cafe is located in a very quiet place with an amazing homely ambience. It must have been a perfect place to hangout for many of you like me who love peaceful places. As soon as I entered, i found some difficulty opening the door as it was a new one (mentioned by the stuff) . The cafe was completely empty, there was only one person at the cafe and he immediately started closing the windows as soon as I entered to turn on the Air conditioner. Everything seemed pretty good till then.. I kept my bag at a table near the counter and started exploring the cafe. I approached towards a table box there which somewhat looked like a vintage piano to me and asked the only stuff there what that was for. He came up to me, literally going over me to open and show that it was a table kept for personal use only. Now note that during this time , his elbow was touching my private part and i immediately backed off thinking it was a complete mistake. I gave him the benefit of doubt once. Within 2-3 minutes, the same scenario repeated again.. This guy was trying to lean over me and show me some magazines which had some sort of pictures. His force was so strong that I had to push him away with all my strength and kept staring at him with astonishment. He said sorry with a smirk on his face and then went and stood beside the counter. Now note that I am a very vocal person, I do take stand even for strangers sometimes when required. When it came to me, i panicked. Immediately called one of my friends. I shared my location and asked him to stay over the cl till my friend reached. I was so scared of the situation that i didn't even dare to grab my bag and go out as there were chances he could have caught me. I was walking near the door making sure he didn't approach me anymore..This incident took place somewhere between 6.10-6.20 pm. My friend arrived near about 6.30 and I explained to her about the situation that I wanted to get out of this cafe as i didn't feel safe there. She being a journalist, did all the right things. She called the man out of the cafe. The man immediately apologized saying it was not intentional at all and stuff.. It was on his face that he was pretty aware about what he tried doing. He was continuously asking us to come inside the cafe and kept on repeating throughout. We called the owner "Shamik Roy" who has been super polite and apologetic to us. He was apologizing the whole time so honestly I have no complaints against him. He said that he will fire the stuff (Jagabandhu) which i think he should do immediately. There were two CCTV cameras which i could notice and Jagabandhu was still not scared of harassing a woman at 6.30 pm in a peaceful locality in the heart of Kolkata! It's pretty alarming. Anyway, we didn't file any police complaints just because of the behaviour of the Owner. He handled the situation pretty nicely must say. But yes, this is a pretty alarming situation. I have never ever thought that something like this can happen to me even in my wildest dreams. It's a request for the owner, please check the CCTV footage of the time mentioned, you will get to see everything. Please fire perverts like this immediately. Your cafe is amazing, just not the stuff. I would love to visit there someday if you can make it safe for us.. I don't want anyone else to feel what I felt today...Thank you 🙏
