Tucked away in the heart of Lake Market, The Forge is one of those places where you step in and instantly feel like you’ve found a little pocket of comfort. The warm earthy interiors, soft lighting, and well-spaced seating create a welcoming atmosphere perfect for both a casual hangout with friends or a laid-back solo coffee session. The mix of rustic elements and modern café aesthetics makes the ambience relaxed yet stylish, while the subtle background music adds to the experience without being overpowering. This Independence Week (9th–17th August 2025), The Forge is running an irresistible flat 25% discount on the total bill (excluding Shisha), along with curated “Perfect Combo” offers that are hard to ignore. We tried the **Clouds & Conversations** combo (₹249) which includes a hookah with unlimited coal changes. The service was prompt, and the staff ensured that the coal was replaced without us having to ask twice – a small but significant touch. The hookah was smooth and well-prepared, without that harsh aftertaste you sometimes get at other places. For something more filling, the **Duo Delight** combo (₹699) offers one veg or non-veg starter, shisha, and two drinks. We opted for the Creamy Smokey Chicken and paired it with a Tropical Sunset mocktail and a cappuccino. The starter was flavourful with tender chicken and a well-balanced smokey note. The mocktail was refreshing with just the right sweetness, and the cappuccino had a nice crema on top, served at the perfect temperature. If you’re coming in a group, the **Squad Special** (₹999) is perfect – two starters, a dessert, and two drinks. We tried the Crispy Chili Baby Corn from the veg section and Tangra Style Chili Chicken from the non-veg options. Both were served hot and fresh, with generous portions. The brownie with ice cream was rich and gooey, a sweet ending that tied the meal together beautifully. Menu variety is a strong point here. From comfort food like Chilli Cheese Garlic Bread to loaded nachos and pizzas, to indulgent desserts and well-crafted beverages, The Forge covers all the café essentials. What stands out is the balance between presentation and taste – nothing feels rushed or mass-prepared. Service throughout our visit was attentive but not intrusive, and the staff seemed genuinely keen on making sure guests enjoyed their time. The cleanliness and overall upkeep of the place deserve a mention too – tables were cleared promptly, and the washrooms were well-maintained.

Absolutely loved visiting Kolkata’s newest café — it’s truly redefining pocket-friendly indulgence! ✨ The ambience is super cosy and vibrant, making it a perfect hangout spot with friends. Their Shareable Platters start at just ₹199/- and are totally worth it! I also tried their All-day meal platter and Kung Pao bowl (₹299) — both tasted amazing. The Pasta options (Parmesan & Arrabiata) were creamy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. If you’re visiting in a group, don’t miss their Party Platter (₹1499) — 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 mocktails, and hookah — such a great deal! Highly recommended for anyone looking for good food, great vibes & affordable prices in one place!

I visited The Forge Cafe with my friend during Durga Puja, and we loved the cozy vibe and affordable prices. The Khao Suey, the Crispy Fried Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken were delicious, while the Kasundi Chilli Mustard Fish and creamy Khowsuey stood out. The Chicken Schnitzel was perfectly crispy and juicy. We ended on a sweet note with their rich Choco Lava Cake, a perfect treat!

Located at the heart of Kolkata The Forge is one of the most recommend eatery lately. The menu includes crowd-pleasers like pizzas, weekend brunch items, and more. Paired with hospitable service The Forge is a must visit for all.

The coffee served was of normal temperature instead of hot. The same goes for the bruschetta. After saying the same to the staff and manager, we were informed that coffee is always served warm, not hot and started explaining the process of making a cappuccino as if we are having coffee for the first time.
