Cravings Of The Travelling Pumpkins

It's always refreshing to visit this restaurant. Situated opposite City mart, just beside Sreeram Arcade, this place has been the favourite go-to restaurant since our childhood. Whenever we are in the New Market area and feel hungry we hop into this place and eat out vigorously. This place is a very small one, where you can dine in by sitting way comfortably under the fan. They have even upgraded to air conditioning under such a cosy sitting area. The decor is nothing much to brag about, but the service is great. One of the best fast serving eatery of that area. Their quantity is worth the price. Two people can easily share and fill their stomachs to their full. They mainly provide South Indian dishes, but have not forgotten to look at the contemporaries. They serve kit Kat shake and oreo shake as well. But we love to eat their South Indian preparations more. Amongst the various items available (from uttapam to chhole bhature) we had Masala Dosa that has a tinge of the exact South Indian flavour in its Sambar and Chutney. We then had their tasty Dahi Vada (served two pcs. per portion) and lastly, Mousambi juice. You can have the Sambar and Chutney as much as you need. If you are tired and feel to shake off the exhaustion you should visit this for a fulfilling treat.

A very old and famous restaurant in New Market. The restaurant has maintained it's quality and quantity of good food . Keeping in mind the comfort of it's customers, the restaurant has now installed AC and it is still pocket friendly ! We tried our all time favourite chola bhatura and kulfi and it was lip smacking! Would also recommend that their juices and dosa! The restaurant is a Must try for anyone who loves tasty food

Favourite restaurant to visit when in the area. Was pleased to see the changed look of the restaurant with ACs installed. The place now offers both comfort and quality food and generous quantity at a really pocket friendly rate!

The Friend's Home Restaurant - A decent food kiosk serving mostly South Indian food and Juices. It is situated in the new market area. I had happen to come here with one of my friend J to this place. The place is nothing fancy and the seating arrangement is quite simple here with plastic chairs and table. They mainly serve South Indian food with Juices and all. On one of the tables, we really saw a cool looking kulfi being served in a glass. It suddenly caught both of our eyes and we thought of giving it a try considering the fact that kulfi is typically served in a shape of a cone. Nonetheless, this is what we both had: • Faluda Special - INR 75 - It was Kulfi topped with Faluda Ice cream served in the glass. I really loved the decoration as well as the taste. However, i would have liked it even more if the pricing was near about say, INR 60-65 bucks. #recommended • Mango Juice - INR 50 - The Mango juice was good to taste. • Masala Dosa - INR 90 - It was good to taste. The dosa was crunchy and went well with the sambhar. I am not a person who enjoys white chutney. Overall, we both had a good time here. We liked the food. The service was quite fast too. The reason for 4 star is because of the hygiene factor and the ambiance decorations. Unbiased review based on my eating experience.

A crowded restaurant in a crowded place where you can find south and some North Indian foods within affordable price. Also fruit juices are available that you can ask to customize as per your preference. Amount is little less and taste of the food is really nice as well as quality.

Situated in New Markets. It's a very old and family friendly restaurant. This place provides veg food, mostly South Indian dishes, snacks, cold beverages and desserts. I have been here a lot of times after my shopping sessions in New Market. Their Dosas are really huge more than enough for one. And I also love their chats and kulfi. And I also like their chole bhature. One can come here for snacks and veg items.
