Visited for my father's birthday, who is a picky eater and being lived most of our lives in northern India we crave the food like there. The place seemd neat and hygeinic with good lights and food was quite nice as the menu majorly consisted of long lost mughlai food with a modern twist. As of the portion size it is bit smaller but the wuality and taste covers that. All in all recommended for formal or family eating ritual. We order suta kebab, reshmi kebab, JMBC for starter. would not recommend suta kebab as u might get better in other places in Kolkata. Barista murg and naan for main course. Must visit for all mughlai lovers!

Please change the ambiance photos. I was not sure if I should come because the photos looked bad, but the amazing ratings gave me the confidence to try. You have many unique dishes that are not available elsewhere — please make sure they are always available. Overall, the food, ambiance, and staff are all very good!

Unacceptable and Abusive Phone Behaviour at The Saffron Tree I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated by the staff at The Saffron Tree. I called the restaurant to inquire about booking a table. Instead of receiving basic customer service, I was subjected to verbal abuse over the phone. The staff member used highly inappropriate and offensive language without any justification. This level of unprofessionalism is shocking and completely unacceptable for a restaurant that claims to serve customers. Respectful communication is the minimum expectation when someone calls for a reservation. I strongly request the management of The Saffron Tree to investigate this matter seriously, review their call recordings (if available), and take strict action against the staff involved. Until this issue is addressed, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone 😡😡 আমি অত্যন্ত হতাশ এবং ক্ষুব্ধ। The Saffron Tree রেস্টুরেন্টে টেবিল বুকিং সংক্রান্ত তথ্য জানতে আমি ফোন করেছিলাম। কিন্তু স্বাভাবিক ও ভদ্র আচরণের পরিবর্তে আমাকে ফোনে অশালীন ও অপমানজনক ভাষায় গালাগালি করা হয়। একজন সম্ভাব্য গ্রাহকের সাথে এ ধরনের ব্যবহার সম্পূর্ণ অগ্রহণযোগ্য এবং অত্যন্ত অপেশাদার। একটি রেস্টুরেন্টের ন্যূনতম দায়িত্ব হলো গ্রাহকের সাথে সম্মানজনকভাবে কথা বলা। বুকিং জানতে চাওয়া কোনো অপরাধ নয়। আমি রেস্টুরেন্টের ম্যানেজমেন্টের কাছে অনুরোধ করছি বিষয়টি গুরুত্ব সহকারে তদন্ত করার জন্য এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মীর বিরুদ্ধে যথাযথ ব্যবস্থা নেওয়ার জন্য। প্রয়োজনে কল রেকর্ড পরীক্ষা করা হোক। এই ঘটনার সঠিক সমাধান না হওয়া পর্যন্ত আমি এই রেস্টুরেন্ট কাউকে সুপারিশ করতে পারছি না।😡😡

The restaurant is closed temporarily. The restaurant can always remodel/relocate. But, feeding customers lie to promote their next brand is not just welcome. They deceived us into Splash telling it is the same. the menu and quality - both are different. It just ruined our entire dining experience for tonight. Just be honest and tell people Saffron Tree is temporarily closed.

Food experience was not at all worth it. The only thing good was the Fish Aquariums as an ambience. The Lucknow Chicken Biriyani was like any other Street Food Biriyani which can be bought in 150 rs. don't waste your money. the chicken piece was cold Hard and had to leave it.

This place is simply PATHETIC and the food is HORRIBLE. Everything is sweet, even dishes they suggested as spicy were actually sweet, the qty is very very low, the price is high and to top it all you will Most definitely Fall sick after eating it. PLEASE AVOID !!!
