Had an amazing meal at this Korean gem in Newtown, Kolkata! The Kimchi Rice stole the show—perfectly balanced flavors and a pleasant hint of spice. The Chicken Lollypop was crispy and delicious, and the dips served alongside really elevated the dish. For dessert, the cream-filled choux was light and fresh, while the muffin was simply amazing—moist, rich, and satisfying. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic taste.Beyond the great food, the host was exceptionally warm and welcoming, making the entire dining experience truly enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to try fantastic Korean cuisine with a lovely atmosphere!

Authentic Korean food. We ordered a whole host of dishes - Kimchi Fried Rice, Bibimbap, gimbap among others. Everything was perfect. We also had the cheese souffle and that was also very very good. Definitely recommend this place to everyone. Also, amazing service and great ambience.

A quiet surprise. Ordered Bibimbap, Gimbap, Dakgangjeong, Jjang ramyeon....all were good. Papaya kimchi was unique. Ramyeon probably could have less diluted Jjang sauce, but other dishes were great. Wrapped it with choux which was also soft and creamy inside. Definitely recommended.

Probably one of the best dining experiences I've had in Kolkata. Everyone was warm and very receptive. Despite the language barrier they tried to attentively understand whatever we asked. The food? No complaints. Flavours were perfectly balanced. 110% recommended

This place is a must visit if you want to try authentic korean food. Food quality is awesome with refreshing flavours. The ambience is calm and soothing, and the owner herself is very cordial. Their choux pastry and muffins are amazing as well.

Authentic Korean cuisine and just awesome taste. The owners are from south korea so food was actually top quality and the behaviour of them was amazing. So welcoming and friendly. Definitely try this out.

The restaurant is run by a Korean couple. They are extremely sweet and polite. The food was amazing we really enjoyed our dinner here.

📌The Sarang Korean Food & Cafe 📍6th floor, Newtown Plaza, CF Block. Action Area 1 Newtown . Landmark - Opposite the Berger Building. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for spending some quality time over food. A South Korean couple runs this cafe who always greet you with a smile and staffs are friendly too. Food review: 1.Korean egg roll 🍳 (150/- ) - It is basically an omelette made with one or two types of chopped vegetables like carrots , scallions etc. 2.Crab stick Kimbap 🍣 (380/-) - With various fillings (salted cucumber sticks, carrots with imitation crab sticks) these rice rolls have an interesting combination of textures and flavors. 3.Kimchi Chicken Fried Rice 🍛(490/-) - Kimchi and rice is stir fried with chicken cubes , egg and spicy kimchi juice. It's simply delicious. 4.Cheese Cake Souffle 🧀 (100/-) - It’s fluffy, full of creamy cheese flavour with a light melt-in-your mouth texture. 5.Choux🥯 (30/-) - The exterior is golden and crisp. The centers are soft, light, and airy filled with cream. 💸Pocket pinch 1000/- to 1200/- for 2 people . Food quality is appreciable. Service is quite good. It's a hidden gem of the Newtown area. Mr min and ms yunthang were warm hosts.. the cafe is spacious yet cosy, the menu is compact, food is yummy and authentic.. loved the place would go back for the gimbap spicy ramyean kimchi. thank you Sarang cafe.

The washroom here is horrible. Not a single toilet roll in any of the cubicles. How much money are you exactly trying to save ? Also, the entire restaurant has a very very weird stale smell
