In south kolkata you can rarely find any vegetarian cuisines or any kind of South India foods outlet..!! For that purpose to get rid of the struggle of finding south indian foods @southislandcafe has opened there south india based cuisine outlet and cafe just opposite side of acropolis mall..!! Couple of days back i visited here to have a Lunch session over there and also to taste the cuisines and foods which they actually served..!! As it's a south india cafe so we specially got the south deliciacies which are ... 📍fried idli 📍masala dosa 📍rava dosa 📍Mysore masala dosa 📍onion uttapam 📍dahi vada 📍 Brownie with ice cream ... All these items we got over there all the items are so delicious and tasty ..!! Specially i want to recommend the dahi vada to have because it's not like regular dahi vada which you guys usually have..!! This outlet is basically a takeaway joint and outlet where you can purchase the foods as per your recommendation and also they are available on swiggy as well so that you can order from that place and than you can have it as per your convenient...!! So stop waiting any more time do have some order from this place and have a mouthwatering experience....!!

We always look for some authentic taste of South Indians that we miss in this part of India but the South Island has come up with a authentic South menus with the best quality products. So We ordered - 🔰 Dahi vada 🔰 Fried idli 🔰 Masala dosa 🔰 Rava dosa 🔰 Mysore masala dosa 🔰 Onion uttapam 🔰 Brownie with Icecream So coming to the taste of the food, each and every items was so good and extraordinary that it just won my heart... The first bite of fried idli dipped in sada chutney was just felt like heaven and it has its authentic taste of idli and the dahi vada just melted inside my mouth in a bite.. The Rava Dosa was the best among all the dosa i tried and it's a highly recommended one... As it is said the end should always be the best, Brownie with Icecream is the best part after such an South Indian Meal... It's been an universal dessert for us and the hot brownie with the cold icecream was just mouth watering and it touched my soul

Recently I visited a newly open South Indian Cafe, located in Acropolis Mall. Its name is The South Island. There is a beautiful ambience inside. There is seating capacity for 12 to 15 people. A good place to hangout with friends. Here you will find all types of South Indian food and also dessert items. We tried : Fried idli Masala dosa Rava dosa Mysore masala dosa Onion uttapam Dahi Vada Brownie with Icecream Rating : 5/5 All the food here was very good and delicious. Those who love South Indian food should definitely come here. Location : Opposite of Acropolis Mall.

They serve one of the best south Indian cuisines in kolkata 😋 Some of their recommended dishes : Fried idli Masala Dosa Rava Dosa Dahi Vada Mysore Masala Dosa Onion Uttapam Price for 2 : ₹250💲 Location : Opposite to the main gate of Acropolis mall, Kasba 📍 Timing : 7am to 10pm. Seating capacity : The ambience of the place is pretty good with a seating capacity of 20-25 peoples.

Recently visited this newly launched south indian cafe just opposite to Acropolis mall Food / ambience / staff behaviour all are just 10/10 Perfect for breakfast / lunch or dinner Pocket friendly cafe What we tried from the menu :- • Fried idli • Uttapam • Mysore masala dosa • masala dosa • Dahi vada ( too good) Highly recommended • Rava dosa ( too good) • Brownie with ice cream

We had the paper masala dosa and paper plain dosa and filter coffee. Each item was great. Super crispy and the chutneys were awesome and thick- especially the garlic tomato one. I think biswarjan ghat area has quite a few ones serving dosa, but I found them to be the best. Clean and quick service.

Finally a good South Indian joint who know how to make dosa and media vada. While the sambhar and ghee podi dosa was the highlight, the chutneys were a tad on the bland side. Overall a good experience in Action Area 1 , where options are limited unless you want local road side dosa.
