Trincas,located in the heart of Kolkata on Park Street,is a true heritage gem. The old-world charm of this iconic place combined with elegant decor and a beautiful ambience, makes it perfect for a relaxed evening. The live music adds an extra layer of nostalgia and charm, making the entire dining experience feel special. First of all, a big appreciation for the staff. They are absolutely amazing,polite, attentive and extremely professional. From recommending dishes to checking in at the right moments, they made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal without being intrusive. Their warm hospitality truly enhances the overall experience and makes you want to come back again. Now coming to the food—we opted for Spicy Roast Pork, Chicken a la Kiev, and Chicken Tetrazzini. Each dish was excellent in taste and beautifully prepared. The Spicy Roast Pork was juicy, well-seasoned and packed with flavour.. it paired perfectly with beer. The Chicken a la Kiev was rich, buttery, and cooked just right. Chicken Tetrazzini was creamy, comforting, and very satisfying. The quality of ingredients and consistency in flavours really stood out. The pricing is completely justified considering the food quality, ambience, live music, and service. Overall, Trincas offers a memorable dining experience and we’ll definitely be visiting again to try more dishes from their menu.

Trincas is truly one of Kolkata’s iconic restaurants, and it completely lived up to its legendary reputation. From the ambience to the service and, most importantly, the food, everything made for a memorable dining experience. The Lobster Thermidor was absolutely phenomenal—rich, creamy, perfectly cooked, and easily one of the best seafood dishes I’ve ever had. The Deviled Crab was equally impressive, packed with fresh crab meat, beautifully seasoned, and bursting with flavor. These two dishes were undoubtedly the stars of the meal. The Shepherd’s Pie was another standout, offering a hearty, comforting taste with excellent seasoning. The Panko Crusted Prawns were perfectly crisp outside while remaining juicy and succulent inside. I also tried the Chicken à la Kiev. Although it wasn’t my personal favorite, it was still well-prepared and I can see why it’s considered a classic. Trincas perfectly captures the charm of old Kolkata while consistently delivering high-quality Continental cuisine. The warm hospitality, elegant atmosphere, and exceptional food make it a place that’s well worth visiting. If you’re dining here for the first time, I highly recommend ordering the Lobster Thermidor and Deviled Crab—they’re simply outstanding. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their legendary dishes.

Don't go by my bad photo takeouting skills, if you want old world charm with good continental food Trincas would be the place. Whether it's date night or you're by yourself and travelling from another city like me. Ohhh and the music...you're gonna be singing along to Country Roads and Swaying away with the singer for sure . The service is fast, precise and built on a legacy. The coordination between the Captains, servers and clearing crew is a dance that is better than any other show you've watched. Man oh Man this apple pie with vanilla ice cream lightly dusted with cinnamon had me singing a lot more than Shalalala... don't get anything get the apple pie with ice. Just the aroma of that crust was enough to get me salivating. Thanks Robin for the recommendations 😊

Some food shots from my visit to Trincas—one of Kolkata's iconic restaurants with a rich pre-independence legacy. 🍗 Drums of Heaven – Okayish for my taste. 🦐 Prawn Thermidor – Creamy, cheesy, and my favourite of the three. 🥤 Baganbari – A refreshing soda-litchi drink recommended by the waiter/manager. 💰 Total bill: ~₹1,400. As always, my reviews are purely based on my personal taste. The live musicians performing with so much passion throughout the evening really stood out to me and made the experience memorable. If you're looking for good live music, a charming old-world ambience, and decent food, Trincas is worth visiting at least once.

Despite the long, tiring wait, Trincas' great food quality and lively band set the perfect tone for the evening. It's a bit noisy, but totally acceptable with those refreshing mocktails stealing the show.

Had a worst experience of my lifetime because of the Scam & fraud done by 'Trincas' restaurant chain. Me & my friend (we were 2 ladies) went on 28th Dec'25 for dinner, post dinner when the bill of Rs. 1917 was provided I had asked the attendant of Trincas whether payment can be done through District / Zomato app? After payment of Rs. 1769 (with Rs. 148) discount coupon) was done from District app the restaurant Manager informed that 'Trincas' & 'Trincas The Other Room' are different Legal entity & we have done payment to wrong restaurant and the Manager & other staffs of Trincas harrassed both of us and literally detained both of us till we again made the payment of Rs. 1917. I tired to convince the Manager that Trincas & Trincas The other room are same but the Manager insisted that I should ask for refund from Zomato. When the customer care executive of Zomato called the same person (i.e. the Manager of Trincas) received the call & represnted himself as Manager of 'Trincas The Other Room'. The Zomato also didn't support us & forced us to make the payment once again & confirmed that refund will be processed & will happen within 5-7 days. Since we were 2 ladies hence for safety reason we couldn't stretch the matter any further. I am attaching the findings from Google which is showing that 'Trincas' & 'Trincas The Other Room' are actually part of same authority. I have been scammed very badly and would like to inform everyone to be very careful from this type of fraud. I would also apply to consumer Forum to see to the consumer's benefit & I seek for monetary compensation from Trincas restaurant authority for the harrassement faced & forced detention for almost 30 mins. post dinner.

Have visited this place quite often, but the recent experience on New Year 2026 was really bad, they have started serving stale smelly food, when we reported the same to the Managers there, they brought the same food tossed making it even worser. Some so called Managers attitude is also worst, they have started thinking themselves as the owner of this legendary resto. Really disappointed seeing Trincas serving stale food, we took Bhetki Florentine, Lobster Theemidor , Alakiev.. Florentine was worst as if they have dipped the fish into milk, no signs of cheese and the grilled veggies served with this diah was smelly and stale.

The rating is because they refused a two Seater for couple on Saturday night. There was waiting for 40 mins and we agreed for it also but he said they are not servicing 2 Seaters. Wow.
