A piece of of authentic Vietnam in the midst of Kolkata. Kenilworth's Vietnamese spot, Vietnam, has one of the best vibes in town. With a view of a lush green garden outside, this place offers authentic Vietnamese food. They have both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, with a good amount of vegetarian choices. It used to be dinner-only, but now they're open for lunch on weekends. The food was amazing. I heard they get a lot of their ingredients straight from Vietnam.

Lovely food. Lovely ambience. Superb service. This is going to be my favourite Resturant for quite some time. I will come back a lot many times. Mehtab and Kritika served us and it was great. Mehtab guided us which sauces would go with which dish. MUST TRY Starters: Crystal Dumpling, Mushroom Cream Cheese Bao, Summer Avacado Roll MUST TRY MAINS: Spiced Saigon Wheat noodles MUST TRY DESSERT: Vietnam Coffee and Chocolate Duo

A vibrant place in the heart of Kennilworth Hotel, warm welcoming vibes.. The staff is courteous and attentive. We decided to start off with a Mango Mayhem, a tad light to my taste buds with an iceberg in the glass, would have appreciated a bit of additional liquor. Next, the Tamarind Trails, whiskey with a hint of tamarind was pretty good but again the iceberg was a bit nosy. The refreshing summer silk was pretty average considering the volume and price.. The cocktails failed to live up to their expectations compared to their price. The food was impressive though. Spicy vietnamese chicken dumplings were juicy and top notch with a thin coating absolutely escalating the protein. The condiments on the table were perfectly complementing the flavors. The chicken young ginger gyoza was another banger, the balance between ginger and chicken steamed to perfection. Pork banh mi was absolutely fantastic; the pork was a perfect 30:70 (fat:meat) and the salads were refreshing. Bun cha was indeed good, the warm broth and the pork patties served aside glass noodles was an absolute delight Spicy saigon chicken wheat noodles were great in terms of flavor and aroma, the chicken melts in your mouth and the noodles itself is tossed in a delicious sauce with a hint of kaffir lime. The hyped mango and sticky rice brulee was not for me i believe, the caramel coat was perfect, would have appreciated a bit more of vanilla ice cream on the top; the mangoes were fresh and its good for a one time try Overall a good experience; the only complaint being the portion size being abysmally small compared to the price charged.

The elegant and beautiful interiors of Vietnom overlooking the lush green lawns of Kenilworth Hotel in the heart of the city elevated our experience in the loveliest way. The food was delightful- from the delicate freshness of the Salmon Carpaccio and Salmon Avocado Summer Rolls to the stunning Cold Salads. The translucent delicate jewel like Dim Sums , to the comforting bowl of Seafood Pho, the superb Pork Banh Mi reminded us why this iconic sandwich has captured many hearts including mine across the globe. The mains kept the momentum going — Shaking Pork, Chicken Skewers, Prawns in XO Sauce, and an excellent Chicken Hoi a Rice, each bringing its own distinct flavour profile to the table. And then dessert: a refreshing Pomelo Mango Sago, the perfect finale to a memorable afternoon. What impressed most was the balance — distinct flavours without excess and the thoughtful execution. We reached the restaurant around 3 in the afternoon and didn’t know that their kitchen closes at 3:15. We felt a little rushed while ordering and couldn’t order dessert because we had to order everything at once. The food was actually good. We ordered mushroom with truffle oil spring rolls , chicken bao and wok tossed chicken noodles and litchi elderberry mocktail. The bao was good and the noodles were average. The best were the spring rolls and the mocktail. Would definitely visit again for the food and ambiance but the service was not great.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. If the restaurant is unable or unwilling to provide proper service close to closing time, it would be better not to accept late reservations in the first place. We felt rushed throughout our meal because it was near closing time, which negatively affected the dining experience. One staff member, Sayan Ghosh, in particular, was not pleasant in his interactions with us. A dish that we had ordered was forgotten and left sitting aside when it arrived. When we asked about it, he immediately said he would cancel the dish instead of trying to resolve the situation. What was more concerning was that when the chef came over personally to apologize and serve it to us, he told the chef “Chorro na” and repeated that he would cancel the dish. This was very disrespectful and unprofessional. On top of that, an additional item was billed to us, even when we didn’t order it! If serving guests after a certain time is a problem, the restaurant should reconsider accepting reservations during those hours.
