Rahul and Ram took great care of us and were extremely cooperative throughout our visit. The food had a great variety, and the dessert section was absolutely awesome! Though didn't liked the biriyani. Overall, a wonderful experience. Definitely a must-visit place! Highly recommended.

variety of menu was very diverse, food was tasty, ambience was good but felt less spacious, staffs are well behaved, but live country of grilled fish was pathetic, we order pomphet twice, and its was awful in both of the cases

The food was good, but, uh, the accommodation was not that really nice because we had to wait for an hour and, uh, the food was also, uh, little cold. But overall, the experience was okay

Extremely disappointing experience at Hyatt Regency Waterside Cafe. We were a group of four and visited the restaurant for their dinner buffet to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a special celebration turned into a thoroughly disappointing experience. If I had to describe the entire dinner in one word, it would be horrible. For a buffet priced at ₹2,050 per person + 18% GST, I expected considerably better food and service. The starters were extremely limited, with very little variety. The oven-roasted chicken had a distinctly stale smell, which was honestly quite off-putting. The fish served was extremely low quality — they couldn’t even manage to use basa. The baked fish was also excessively salty. The main course was equally disappointing. The Basanti Pulao had such a strong cinnamon flavour that it completely overpowered the dish. The mutton was probably the worst of the lot — extremely salty, lacking flavour, and had a strong meaty smell. For a hotel of this standard, this was simply unacceptable. The desserts weren’t anything exceptional either. There were the usual pastries with very little variety. Oddly enough, blueberries seemed to have made their way into almost everything. The only things we genuinely enjoyed were the sevai and ice cream. And then came the service, which was just as disappointing as the food. Despite paying a 5% service charge, the service was extremely poor. We had to ask multiple times just to get our water glasses refilled and to get cutlery. Nobody came by the table during the meal to check whether everything was alright or whether we needed anything. For a birthday celebration at a supposedly premium property, this level of service was particularly disappointing. When we asked for the bill, the captain finally asked us how the dinner had been. We honestly shared our concerns and told him that our birthday celebration had been ruined because of the experience. They then offered us some complimentary mutton curry and two pastries as a gesture. Unfortunately, even those were disappointing. The mutton curry had virtually no flavour whatsoever. I genuinely don’t understand how a mutton curry can be made this tasteless — the gravy was completely bland. I understand that not every dish can suit everyone’s taste, but this was far beyond that. There were fundamental issues with food quality, taste, variety, and service. For ₹2,050 + 18% GST per person, plus a 5% service charge, there are far better places to spend your money, especially if you’re planning a special occasion. Would not recommend. Definitely not worth the money, and unfortunately, it ruined what was supposed to be a memorable birthday dinner.

The chicken was dry and overcooked, while the only one mutton dish was undercooked and lacked flavour. Compared to my previous visits, the food selection was noticeably limited, giving the impression that cost-cutting has taken priority over quality. Most disappointing was the dessert selection, with only a couple of options and not a single traditional Bengali sweet. For a reputed hotel celebrating such an important Bengali festival, this was unacceptable.

Very disappointing experience at Hyatt Regency. The food was not up to the mark, especially considering the price. The vegetarian and non-vegetarian buffets are priced the same, but the vegetarian options are considerably fewer compared to the non-vegetarian spread. We also ordered sabudana papad, but were later told that it was over, which was quite disappointing. On top of that, the service was slow and lacked attentiveness. At these prices, we expected much better food quality, variety and service. Overall, the experience did not justify the price at all. So the pricing needs to be reduced for the vegetarian meals or more options should be added.

Disgrace. We called and confirmed that we need Ala Carte, once reached they said only buffet is available.
