Zam Zam started out a couple of decades ago in this locality. It has since opened elsewhere and also become renowned for biryani and other mughlai dishes. I had a mutton biryani, chicken bharta, butter naan, shahi tukra and phirni. All of them were great in taste especially the chicken bharta and desserts. The biryani was good but nothing extraordinary or worth remembering. Overall, I had a great time. The location is in the interiors and is difficult to find. Google Maps is of great aid here. It is not suitable to bring families here.

It's a place to be visited thoroughly for biriyani lovers as well as beef lovers rather it's a must. The beef biriyani is too good appetite your cravings following is the beef malai & beef bhuna. It's too good to have any words or explanation for them. The only downside is u might have to wait in a queue to get your turn but it worth waiting and it doesn't have any AC otherwise it would have been a match made in heaven for beef & biriyani lovers.

The service was super fast, and the beef biryani was just an add on to my happy mood. The perfect biryani with subtle and balanced flavours and the beef was soft and one plate was enough for two of us and the beef malai was was super tasty. Will never think of an option except Zam Zam when will think of biryani

A great place for beef lovers. Here the beef biryani is super light, delicious, comes with a great portion along with 2 pieces of meat and 2 pieces of potato. They're serving a great portion in a very little price. Ambience is a little disappointing, but otherwise a big thumbs up.

Well Mughlai food is an important part of Bengali Culture. When the authentic Mughlai non veg items creates a Bohemian experience it certainly feels like rolling down the Swiss Alps. Food quality wise both the Park Circus and the Padmapukur outlets are good, but the later lacks cleanliness and privacy. The must cravings are Gosht Malai and Gosht Biriyani. They complement each other with flavor, taste and aroma. Adding to which the Ghol/Burhani just creates that feelings of Feluda and Topshe meeting Jatayu . Puro Jome Kheer. A must visit for authentic Mughlai foodies. Must try items are: Gosht Malai Gosht Biriyani Gosht Kashmira Ghol/Burhani Kebab and Laccha Paratha Shahi Tukda Phirnee

I ordered today from them. Food was really really good for the price. Hands down, the most value for money place to eat, whether online or dine in.

🌟 Honest Review: Zam Zam Restaurant, Park Circus Branch – A Major Letdown 🌟 I had recently visited Zam Zam Restaurant’s Park Circus branch with high expectations, especially since it’s often touted as a popular destination for Mughlai and biryani lovers in Kolkata. However, my experience turned out to be deeply disappointing, and I feel compelled to share a detailed review for those considering dining here. 🥘 Food Quality – 1/5 Let me start with the most crucial aspect — the biryani. To put it bluntly, it was extremely ordinary — lacking flavor, aroma, and finesse. It neither had the rich spices one expects from a Kolkata-style biryani nor the subtle ghee and saffron notes. It felt like something you’d get at a low-tier roadside stall, not a reputed restaurant. The mutton in the biryani was perhaps the worst part. It was completely undercooked — tough, chewy, and almost inedible. It clearly hadn’t been slow-cooked or marinated properly, which is shocking for a place that claims to serve traditional Mughlai food. Biryani is as much about the meat as it is about the rice, and they failed miserably on both fronts. 🍮 Dessert – 0/5 As if the main course wasn’t bad enough, we made the mistake of ordering dessert. What we got was clearly stale and unappetizing. It lacked freshness, and the texture was soggy and weird. It felt like something that had been sitting in the fridge for days. For a restaurant of this size, serving expired or stale sweets is simply unacceptable and unhygienic. 🧾 Value for Money – 1/5 Given the poor quality of food, the pricing felt absolutely unjustified. One expects a satisfying, flavorful meal when dining out, but this was a complete waste of money. Even street vendors serve better-tasting and properly cooked biryani at a fraction of the cost. 👎 Overall Experience – 1/5 The entire meal was a huge letdown. I had heard about Zam Zam’s fame, but perhaps this branch is riding on past glory or reputation built elsewhere. In reality, the food quality here was subpar, careless, and not at all worth the hype.
