This is a great place in the leh market. They have a great diverse menu with nominal prices. I tried shashuka and it was great! Must try!

This restaurant is located in the Main Bazaar of Leh and is quite easy to spot. The restaurant takes up the 1st and 2nd floor of a building, so there are steps to climb. I've been there twice now and there are usually enough empty tables. The waiters are trained well and the service is good. When I went to the eatery the first time, I ordered Veg "Thenthuk," which is a Tibetan soup and noodle dish. The service was pretty quick. Yesterday, I ordered the Grilled Chicken Steak and that took some time to prepare. The chicken did taste fresh when it got to me, which is good. Although the chicken was cooked well, it did not seem like it was grilled. It was covered in the dressing, which would have been nicer if it was served separately. The meat was on the bone which made it a task to cut out the edible pieces. And the taste was quite unique because of the dressing. More pronounced, I would say. The fried potatoes and grilled veggies that came with the dish were good. A little more garnish on the potatoes would have been welcome. I like the milk coffee they serve and though it might just be an instant coffee, it goes well with a meal. There are many other dishes on the menu, so I plan to go there again. The Grilled Chicken steak was Rs. 350 and a cup of milk coffee is Rs. 60. A bowl of Veg Thenthuk costs Rs. 140.
