Happy Chaitra Navratri! Since last many years during Navratri and even Chaitra Navratri big vegetarian restaurants have started keeping Vrat Satwik food/Thali for people fasting and otherwise non fasting as well. Earlier most people used to have home made food only during fasts but since last many years in Delhi,Gurgaon,Noida the trend of trying Vrat Navratri thali on one of the 9 days started. This trend also has come to Lucknow and since last few years and people here too have slowly started having such thalis once in a while. The latest on Lucknow scene is the giant chain HALDIRAMS which have opened their posh branch at Gomti Nagar,Vibhuti Khand in Lucknow. There was a short lived Haldirams branch longgg ago opp Sahara Ganj Mall but it closed shop long ago. This new branch is spacious,and in no way less than big branches of NCR.The bakery,snacks and all items were very nicely placed on ground floor and first floor was for dining. The menu had all standard Haldirams menu but as mentioned the maximum orders were for Navratri special menu. We ordered Navratri vrat thali, sabudtaana Khichdi and a combo of singhara Atta poori and aloo sabzi. The thali was more than sufficient for one with aloo,paneer and kaddu-sitaphal sabzi. All the items were good as always and hygiene and standard matching the chains other outlets. I was told that not only people fasting but otherwise as well opted for Navratri thali to dry different stuff. So the fasting and feasting continues after Ramzan well into Chaitra Navratri here!!

The food was good. But the menu in zomato and in-store was different and not updated. The rates were far more expensive as per the menu which we saw on zomato before going.

happened to visit this place but found chairs full. had to weight being new eatery of town. there was self service with chaos. staff was less not cleaning tables as and when required. taste was not up to name. I did not enjoyed. on ground floor was sweet and bakery outlet. one sales person was always busy on phone.

A very bad experience in Gomtinagar Haldiram. Ordered panipuri, veg noodles, masala dosa, chola bhatura, vada paav and shahi paneer combo. Aalu came with panipuri that smelled bad and the taste was horrible. Chola bhatura and masala dosa were very bad in taste. Only vada paav was ok and veg noodles were alright. I will never go back to that place. The perfect line for the place is Naam bade darshan chote.

paneer and naan quality was very poor...even chole bhature was not good...have to wait for half an hour just for a butter naan
