*Short Review* An absolutely must visit place when you are in Lucknow! We went there on the day we were supposed to leave back to Mumbai, breakfast time & we were offered Kachodi, Aloo Subzi along with khatti meethi chutney. Every Kachodi in Lucknow has its original & different taste & the accomplishments served along make it even more unique. Absolutely loved it. Next was offcourse the very famous Malai Paan Gilori! Literally melt in mouth, the taste was so awesome, right from paan flavour to the sweetness everything was perfect. ( PS : You are supposed to have one piece in one go! 😛 ) [ Don't forget to parcel them home, you won't get this anywhere else ] The hospitality offered was extraordinary. The owner himself ( even without asking ) took us to their kitchen to explain all the steps of making a gilori. Impressive! Only drawback is the location, it's literally in a gully which is a bit shady, unclean too, but the outlet is totally neat & clean.

You can surely miss this place just because of its remote location, but a sweet shop which is almost older than any one here is worth a thousand visit. Their paan ki gilori is the best sweet invention I have ever had in my life as a chef. Also this chutney which they serve with the samosa is like yummm... If you are in Lucknow do visit this place or their other new outlet in main market.

Ram Asrey started shop in 1805. It still exists at the same point and serves sweets that are out of this world. Everything is good. The people are courteous, not over-talkative. They will help you. Finding this place may be a bit of an issue, but trust Google map. It will be worth the trouble.
