Had a really good dining experience at Thamarai in Lucknow. I tried the Benne Masala Dosa, Davangere Benne Dosa, Filter Coffee, Thatte Idli, Masala Idli, and Podi Ghee Masala Dosa, and overall the food was excellent. The dosas were the highlight — crispy, flavorful, and genuinely satisfying. The filter coffee was also great and added to the experience. The only thing that didn’t feel fully worth it was the Masala Idli. It was fine, but compared to the rest of the items, it didn’t stand out much. Everything else was strong enough to make the meal memorable, though, so I’d still happily recommend Thamarai. Final rating: 9/10 — great place for South Indian food in Lucknow, especially for the dosas and coffee.

Beautiful experience The place is apt for dinner and lunch with family. It has warm vibes to it. Food was great. Dosa was quite hearty just as per my liking that is super crispy. We had medu vadas as well which were also nice. 100% would go again. Service was fast. We received the order within 10-12 mins

Amazing in Everyway. I will remember for a long time. A restaurant that keeps an aggarbatti in the restrooms !!! And it got better after that.

Ambiance ,staff and food is all superb but after 7pm there is waiting so please try to come asap

The food is good, but all that is undone by bad service and rude senior staff. The wait time on holidays is too long with no clear communication regarding the time it would take to seat us.

we went to thamarai today. 6 of us and we ordered dosa and north indian food. mysore pak 1pc was 140rs 😒 i feel they have invested so much money in ambience that forgot about the food. Dosa was dipped in oil ..samabar had a rasam taste. dont waste your money! north indian food was low quality and no taste.

went to this place with high Hopes after seeing so many good reviews...but the dinner experience was disappointing..the service is good, vibe is ok ..... food quality should have been more better.
