Lucknow cuisine and Kabab! Inspite of being across so many cities ,still when it comes to Kabab -Lucknow always holds a special mention.And when the Kabab is Galouti/Galawati what more to say other than Tundey Chowk not only in Lucknow but foodies across.This is the oldest branch of iconic kabab and is almost 120 years old across generations. Earlier the chowk branch used to serve only buff kabab whereas Aminabad Grandson of Tundey used to serve both buff and mutton. However since last few years Chowk branch also started keeping the mutton variation as well alongwith buff version. We went to the legendary outlet and ordered mutton galouti kabab and paratha. The mutton kababs were wow but I felt its their paratha is the real star. The paratha perfectly cooked and tasty yet was so much lighter and smaller than the parathas at all other outlets. Infact I feel it was the lightest ulte tawe ka paratha even when compared to other outlets. The plate of kabab and paratha was so picture perfect that I took pic and my friend took pic of mine taking the pic as well 😀😄! Yummy taste into Lucknow!!!

A must try if your are in Lucknow, it’s said that the recipe constitutes of 125+ spices and is zealously guarded by the family. The recipe was created by a one armed chef and so the name tunday which supposedly means one handed. Now to the kababs - they are round, flat and thin and is made on a brass tawa on a wooden fire. The kabab just melts in your mouth and the taste and the after taste will leave you wanting more & more. Pair it with a ulte tawa ka paratha and that’s all you will need to attain nirvana.

Oldest outlet of Tunday Kebabs in Lucknow. While rest fo the outlets are all about showoff and adding a touch of modernity, this chowk kebab joint is the same since years! Although taste of kebabs have cjanged drastically but tehy still remain the best kebabs in Lucknow!

Loved the food. You need to wait to get a table and it’s not a small wait, but once the wait is over it’s time for the food. The taste is really really good. Service is prompt n quick.

How can they make Kababs so soft and yummy. this is a must visit place in Lucknow. and this chowk branch holds more importance as it is oldest. the place is very congested so walking is best option. Just beside Raheem so it gave a chance to take a food tour in both the iconic places . the kababs are prepared in front of you and the way they are prepared speaks alot about quality and reason for this place being so crowded. very tasty kababs the best you will ever taste very fresh just out of the fire. the place is very chirpy and don't expect any ambiance or privacy. the place is very pocket friendly infact the cheapest in Lucknow. loved it

It is one of my favorite place which serves authentic mughlai and awadhi cuisines at the nominal prices. The food is really really very yummy so I recommend you all if you are a non veg lover and wanna eat some mughlai cuisines. Hop in to this place once and I guarantee you will not regret. The ambience of this place is up to the mark as this is mughlai theme based.The service was very good. So overall experience was very nice. But there's one demerit of this place is that they only provide kabab parathe and sheermal that's it. No other options available.

Good decent tundey kebabs and chicken boti. Loved their fast service as well. However the chicken seekh Kebabs were a bit disappointing. Mutton biryani was also okayish and can be given a miss.
