Went there with old friends, loved the ambience of the place. Courteous staff, good food, great service, would be going again for sure. We ordered Mexican corn soup which was quite flavourful. Since our friends were compulsive mutton eaters, they insisted on Indian cuisine and we had Paneer Lahori and Mutton Roganjosh. I being a vegetarian had the paneer only but the roganjosh was thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by those who had it. Overall a great dining experience.

We visited Bistro 226 for dinner on a Saturday evening. Had Chicken Steak Madagascar and Thai green fish curry. Both the dishes were very tasty. 5/5. For desserts, we ordered salted caramel orange pie and loved it. Ambience and service are good too. Overall, had a great experience. Food 5/5 Ambience 4/5 Must try Salted caramel orange pie.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Ludhiana. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in bistro 226

Bistro 226 is one of the oldest cafes in Ludhiana. We visited the place for lunch. Much to our surprise, the place is done nicely in line with the new cafes (ok, might be slightly less fancy yet comforting). So interiors-wise and vibe-wise, full marks. We ordered a Crackling Rice Soup, a Virgin Cosmopolitan, Green Day Pizza and their most popular Chimichanga. Soup was liked by all, and Crackling Rice imparted a good texture to soup than regular noodles/choupsey. I liked the Virgin Cosmopolitan drink which had optimal sugar and had good flavors of juices. The Pizza/Chimichanga were at best average. 700 for a pizza means that it should be able to "wow" you, but it was far from that. Although it had sufficient toppings, yet it lacked in any flavor. And Chimichanga was served with rolls and rice. Rolls were a little too crisp to be eaten with fork and personally, I found them overdone on chili. The price for each dish is not justified about their taste. Although, the saving grace was customer service and the overall vibe of the place. Suitable for both family and a friendly catch-up.

We visited Bistro 226 on Tues evening, party of 8. The food is absolutely tasteless. We ordered Veg Tandoori platter, either it was bland or only had Chilli in the name of spice. We thought of giving oriental/Chinese as well as not every place can be master of all. Aglio Olio Cottage Cheese, which actually came recommend from the person taking order was horrendous. The only spice used on diced cheese cubes was oregano and chilli flakes. No taste at all. Burnt/overcooked oregano turns into unchewable plasticy texture and that is what we got. Oriental vegetables were heavily flavoured with vinegar but still had decent taste. Wok fried Garlic noodles were also decent, but nothing that you would come back to eat. Overall, if you have a decent pallette for proper spices (not talking about spicy) Bistro 226 is not worth it. When the place had only 2 tables to serve and lacked such detail, don't know what they must be doing when the place has rush.
