A review after a while. Recently visited madurai and was craving for some Kari dosa, instead my driver said will take me to the best Biryani in town and I agreed once he said BIRYANI!!! Dropped in to hotel "Amsavalli" and ordered Mutton Biryani with chicken fry. The Mutton Biryani I've had some quite a few varieties of biryani in and out of Chennai and other parts so far but this half plate biryani just shamed every other biryani I ever had. The seeragasamba rice proved why it's the proper biryani rice, the rice was so tasty and the mutton was so tender and tasted really good. The quantity yes of course is a bit less compared to other places but I liked it that way cos it made ppl not to waste and if it wasn't enough they can still order another one. The 1/2 chicken boneless Again the chicken was so juicy and tender loved the taste and the masala was spot on where it wasn't too spicy spoiling the taste. If ever in madurai yes there are places like, Kumar mess, konar mess, etc and etc, but make sure you guys drop in here for some lip smacking food

Best place to have mutton biryani in madhurai, mutton is juicy, quantity is very little ,decent ambience, service is decent. Its located walkable distance from madhurai temple

Worst place overhyped by food reviewers and locals. The server will insist on serving the slow moving item after checking with the kitchen. The interior decor is from 80's bar but will still have the same dust and cobwebs.

Not at all worthy of a visit or mention.. tried biryani.. nothing great .. my mom had hyped this so much from when she ate 33 years back.. I’m sad I wasted months dreaming about eating this on my trip

The service at the hotel is so bad. We were waiting for AC room, but they forced us to have lunch in normal room. They didn't even wait for taking the order. There are only few servers to serve. The cost was so high , and you can get only small quantity. You can try this hotel for it's taste alone , you can taste authentic taste herel. Service is totally bad.

Only expensive but totally worst hotel. Don't know why people's support this kind of hotels. Rude staffs and no card payment and they not clean your table and they don't care so you need to wait atleast 30 minutes for order and all foods taste only average but too much expensive

Doesn’t worth the money. Quantity of Biryani is small with 2-3 small pieces of mutton. Nattukozhi is good and tasty. Rest is very average. No ambience and 1950 styled rooms with no cleanliness is the actual scenario.

Taste : Biryani average - not up to mark and Chicken deep fry was horrible. Quantity : Very less for the price they charge Ambience : Poor Service : Poor
