In general, restaurants around bus stands and railway stations do not serve good food.  But this place is an exception.   If one is around periyar bus stand and wanted to have parottas, then this is the place.   Must try: Parotta: Flaky parottas with two different, thick salnas.  Very tasty. Kothu parotta: Tastes great.  Bursts with flavours. Mutton sukka: Though there are few other places which serve a better version, this is worth a try here as well. Veechu: The naan version of parotta.  Thin, crispy, oily and yummy. Very affordable pricing.  Ambience is not that great, this is one among Madurai's own 'boratta kadai' aka 'evening mutton stall'

This place was just next to our hotel and we were too tired to try out pre decided places. But trust me this place offers great local food if you are willing to ignore the mess around. A lil shabby place I would say but the food is great. We tried egg parotta and chicken parotta with chicken salna. Salna is a thick flavourful spicy curry and is best when combined with flakey layered parotta. Chicken parotta has minced chicken in them. Salna is an all rounder and goes really well be it with ghee dosa, or idli or parotta. Also it (salna) is available in veg as well as mutton. It's an evening roadside parotta stall types place but a total paisa-vasool place to enjoy local food. Food : 4/5 Ambience : 2.5/5 Value for money : 4.5/5

Located on the Main Roads of Periyar, opens till late night.Dining available on ground and first floor.Ordered Mutton Kari Dosa, Parotta, Fried Rice , Chicken Fry and some sides all were served hot and was good.Mutton Kari Dosa and Chicken sides were top.Parking can be done on roads only.Ambience could be maintained neat apart from that everything was good.

Chicken fried rice taste good but oily. Parotta ok ..salna disappointed must improve watery and less taste . Idly ,dosa worth for money taste good..I like it.
