Mitra Samaj has been in existence for more than 70 years and is one of the best pure veg restaurants in entire Udupi. The quality and taste of food is extraordinary. The service is very fast and you will leave with a great feeling of satisfaction. Highlights- Mangalore buns, masala dosa, biscuit rotti, bullet idly, badam milk, poori.

Mitra Samaj has been around for more than 70 years and remains a true classic. The banana buns, idli-vadas, the bullet idli, upma, golibaje (only in the evenings) are my favourites here (plus punctuating my trials with some hot coffee) I make it a point to visit this charming little place right next to the Krishna Math every time I come to Udupi!

This 70 plus year restaurant serves one of the best Mangalore Buns and goli Bajji.. While it's believed massla dosa originated from here, on a personal liking, I felt the dosas way back in Blore were far better. But the other items we tried were good upma, kesari, coffee n badam milk Hence the 4* ratings

A very old and famous eating joint located in the carstreet of Krishna Matt. Famous for its Goli Bhajjis. Their packed food items like Holige or Halwas are also good. A very small place with around 10 to 12 tables. The quality and service has deteriorated over the years.

Absolutely terrible experience. Service was even worse—staff were rude, inattentive, and acted like they didn’t care at all. We had to wait far too long for everything, and even simple requests were ignored. The place itself was not clean, which made the whole experience even more unpleasant. Definitely not worth the money or time. staff even rude to give 1 glass to milk for babies.I would strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant.

one of the worst service ever given to customers because they tried to make me pay extra and insulted me by playing the cctv camera and did even apologize for their mistake.

the food quantity was very less, the place had the most mean services and a very rude owner who tried to insult me with unwelcomed words.

Wasn't busy enough to justify how absolutely terrible the service was, and how rude the serving staff were. Food was bang average.
