We were traveling from Chikmagaluru to Mangalore when we thought of stopping for some breakfast. And since we were keen to try traditional South Indian food anyway, this was recommended. There were few people when we entered the restaurant since it was morning. But we were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant neat and clean. We ordered Rava Masala Dosa, Steamed Idli, Medu Vada, Butter Sada Dosa, and a few cups of Filter Coffee for breakfast. The rava masala dosa was delicious. The texture was the same as in rava dosas. Still, the Masala filling of mashed potatoes made it taste even better. The steamed Idli was something I had never experienced myself. Not only were they tasty, but they were simply melting in the mouth. Perfectly steamed and soft, the taste was like none other. The medu vada was crunchy on the outside yet soft from the inside. Paired with the sambar dip and coconut chutney, it tasted delicious. The best thing about it was there were no marks of being over-fried or burnt, and the oil was fresh. The butter sada dosa, true to its name, had a generous amount of butter on the inside and was paper thin yet soft. The filter coffee was the traditional one found only in south India. Slightly bitter to taste but was strong enough to invigorate you in the morning. And it was perfectly blended and brewed with the milk with precisely the right amount of sugar. The food was delicious, and the service and the ambiance made it perfect.

This is one of the rarest restaurants where you will find each item on the menu delicious. After having lot of chats in Mumbai, I still enjoy having them here. Courteous staff, great food, clean place, smooth ambience. Can't ask for more.

I don't know how relevant a quick visit to my native place would sound but recently I'd been to my native just for 3 days so would recall it as a quick visit. Happened to hop into this restaurant, the restaurant's huge board won't take your time to locate it. The only veg restaurant, was open at around 11.30pm when all the other restaurants as far as I know in Udupi shuts at 10pm(too early for a Mumbaikar to have dinner) I'd a light supper, 😋Main course: ▶️Dal fry-- I loved the dal fry. Different flavour and the aroma was good. ▶️Mix veg-- it's my tradition that when I don't find anything specific to have in the menu I order a mix veg. So this wasn't so good as I expected it to be. There wasn't paneer at all. Mix veg strictly had beans, carrot and cauliflower. I'd these two with rotis, were made of atta-- not whole wheat rotis. Moderately priced and service is okay. Overall a good veg restaurant to visit when in Udupi(Couldn't click pictures as my phone's battery gave up also was in a hurry).

Dining experience was indeed good. Not sure about home deliveries. Shanti Sagar special curry is worth a try - good in taste and value for money. Service was also quick. Not suited for a big family dining since seating arrangements are specific to 4 in one table ; basically no big tables arranged.

Visited this restaurant just to end up having an unsatisfactory experience. Trust me!! We ordered two Aloo Tikki, Ragada Patties, Chilli Cheese Toast and a Musambi juice. For our surprise, there were flaws in each of these. To begin with, the Aloo Tikki that we ordered had tonnes of curd and less of the chutney, as if it was Dahi Vada. The Ragada Patties was also not up to the mark; streetfood stalls serve tastier food. Then came the biggest blunder of all - Chilli Cheese Toast. I mean who pays almost 100 Rs. for 'two slices of bread cut diagonally into 4 halves with some cheese and raw green chillies sprinkled over them'? That too you get this simple toast after 35 minutes of placing the order. Lastly, they messed up the Musambi juice too. Guess what? They forgot to add the pretty ice. Totally, it was a below average service. I think none of us would ever make the mistake of entering that restaurant again.

I ordered mughlai biriyani from this restaurant, it's worst experience, and taste was also not up to the mark, potatoes were raw , and even they didn't remove skin of potatoes, even after paying money if we get to eat raw potatoes why we should buy products from this restaurant 🤔
