Tried the crab at Hindu Modern and it was an absolute treat for seafood lovers. The crab was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of bold coastal flavours. The masala was rich, spicy, and well-balanced, coating the crab beautifully without overpowering its natural taste. Portion size was satisfying, and the freshness really stood out in every bite. Pairing it with rice made the experience even better. Service was quick and the overall vibe stayed true to their classic, no-nonsense seafood reputation. If you love authentic seafood and well-spiced crab, this dish is a total winner. Highly recommended! 🦀🔥

Visited Mumbai’s iconic restaurant in Lower Parel, serving since 1942. They’ve recently renovated and are now hosting Mumbai’s biggest Crab Festival 🦀 where you can even pick your own live crab! We tried the Tandoori Crab, Butter Garlic Crab, Masala Crab Thali, and Surmai Thali – all cooked to perfection with authentic flavors. Definitely one of the best seafood experiences in the city. Perfect spot not just for seafood lovers but also to host corporate lunches, family gatherings, or private events.

We visited modern hindu hotel today on a republic day afternoon. They have great offers on zomato and Swiggy and i confirmed with them before booking the table. We were indulgent in a variety of appetizers at the hotel starting from crab lollipop, prawns Koliwada, surmai tawa fry and Chicken adraki tikka. I really loved the chicken adraki tikka and prawns Koliwada they were very well marinated and tasty. However the surmai tawa fry I felt little disappointment as it was not as fresh as I would expect. moving on to the main course we opted for chicken chatpata gravy with malwani vade plate.. both were very nicely made and tasted delicious. We also ordered a portion of mix fried rice which contains chicken egg and prawns combo it was subtle but tasty. solkadi is also good here but less sweet. i highly recommend everyone to try out strawberry cream I just loved it, was very nicely made layer of strawberry ice cream fresh cream and fresh strawberries. They do accept the table booking made through Zomato Swiggy and also offer discount please don't get misguided but some reviews just call them before booking and you are good to go.

we ordered peri peri prawns but the masala was not Chinese, it was like orange malawani masala with coconut smell. prawns deep fry was good it was fresh prawns. also I liked prawns fried rice was good.

generally I don't put reviews but I had to in this case due to last 15 minutes of experience. they put in offer on district and during payment behave like we have forced them to put in offer here, asking how much you paid and we get what you pay, district don't give us anything etc. staff is good as long as owner is there. owner offered my child a complimentary icecream, she was so kind, but when she went ,they didn't give it to us. seems like they wanted to eat it later. we went for 11:30 pm slot which they offered on district and had to order everything at once, which is ok. they assured that they will be able to provide chapatis later on. but when asked for chapatis later, they were like, you need to understand it's 12:00 am, why you came so late, pathetic. they could have cancelled my booking, they only accepted it.one will take atleast 30 minutes to eat. overall, staff is not good but owner is very kind . food is also good and price is reasonable.

We went there for lunch and would really like to point out a few things: 1. Cleanliness - poor, the couches are filthy, not cleaned in a while perhaps. 2. Service - quite pathetic, we waited for over 15 mins for the second roti by which time the gravy got absolutely cold. 3. The chicken starter we ordered was Chk. Peri Peri which was flavor wise good, however the chicken pieces added were not fresh. 4. Garlic Naan had barely any garlic plus 15 min wait time 5. Chicken Patiyala - total disappointment, barely any chicken pieces in the egg wrap, also chicken was stale 6. Chicken Tikka Biryani -Chicken was tossed in stale rice, no markings of a biryani except for the kewra flavour

After a day of hard work, went in late for lunch around 3.30pm and could see the server crying already saying its time for them to close but will take last order. While paying bill, the person at bill desk acted as if I asked for his property whenI asked can I pay via Zomato and gave weird reason saying its only applicable till 3pm hahah and started to moan that we have kept hotel open only for you till so late as if they were having a favour. Overall a disgusting customer experience and I would never enter this hotel again.

We ordered mutton which was not cooked properly surmai fish was stinking,chapati were served cold. bombil fry was tasteless. overall it is a waste of money. These food bloggers has over hyped this place. definitely they are paid for this false advertisement. But we as customer are the real whose reviews are authentic. Also quantity is very less compared to their charges of the dish. Overall from my side would not recommend anyone of this food place.

Was asked and forced for cash payment saying no credit card , no paytm or gpay were accepted post 12am , confirming they dont accept and online payment post 12am, only visit if you have cash of 3k-4k when with family.

Very average hotel. I booked from Zomato gold. They try to denied gold. Food quality is really very average, this is my second time in this restaurant always give wrong order. Not value for money. Not recommended.
