It was a Monday evening, and after a long work day, I was craving something authentically Maharashtrian, something that felt like home. My friend and I didn’t waste a second. We headed straight to Aaswad. I had heard a lot of praise about this place, and the lively, welcoming atmosphere that greeted us did not disappoint. The moment we stepped in, it felt like home. The vibe was cozy, with a touch of Maharashtrian charm. We skimmed through the menu, and I went for Sabudana Wada while my friend ordered Misal Pav. Both dishes were packed with flavors and tasted like they had that authentic, homemade touch. And the ambiance? It was warm and inviting with a hint of elegance. Quality - 4.8/5 Quantity - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Price - 200 INR for 2 people For more mouthwatering food content, don't forget to follow @chefvaidehipathare on Instagram!

This restaurant serves authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. One can find delicacies like Thalipith, Kothimbir wadi, vada pav, Misal, Sabudana wada, varan bhat, puri bhaji, etc. and desserts such as malai kulfi, falooda, etc. Puran poli ice cream is an innovative fusion and you must try. Staff is very cooperative & courteous, The place is hygiene & spacious. it is also not very expensive though one may find long waiting due to the popularity of this place. As a non-maharashtrian easy way to indulge in the cuisine. I’ve tried misal multiple times before but not been a fan until I tried it here. The solkadhi and pithale bhakri is just wow. A must visit and great on the pocket too

During Diwali, we had the chance to enjoy some authentic Marathi delicacies at Aaswad. The food is genuinely traditional and feels like home. Don't miss trying the Thalipeeth and Kothimbiri Vadi. The ambiance is pleasant, and the staff is very courteous. Just be sure to allocate plenty of time for your visit, as it tends to be crowded, with wait times sometimes reaching up to an hour.

Maharashtrian vegetarian restaurant, with only AC section for dining. Expect at least 15-30 min waiting time before being seated. Food is good and service is fast, courteous and professional. Speciality desserts are not so special. They are trying to take care of hygiene and cleanliness.

This place has been a family favorite for us! I love that the food isn’t too spicy. Their vada pav, misal, and kothambir vadi are absolutely delicious. Everything else we tried was great too. We’ll definitely keep coming back for the same dishes!
