Decided to try Adelina after coming across it on social media, and I have to say, the interiors are stunning. The space feels incredibly chic and modern while still retaining a warm, rustic Italian charm. The menu is also quite extensive, with enough variety to cater to different tastes. On top of that, the staff were courteous, attentive, and genuinely polite throughout the experience. Unfortunately, where Adelina fell short for me was the food. I ordered one of their signature dishes, the Cacio e Pepe, and it ended up being quite disappointing. The pepper completely overpowered the dish, making it far spicier than expected. As someone who doesn’t particularly enjoy spicy food, it became difficult to fully appreciate the flavours. Another thing worth mentioning is that the dish didn’t hold up very well while eating. By the halfway mark, the pasta had become quite clumpy due to the cheese emulsion thickening as it cooled, which affected the overall experience. If you do plan on ordering it, I’d suggest eating it quickly while it’s still fresh and creamy. I didn’t get the chance to try anything else on the menu, so I’m still open to giving Adelina another shot in the future. The ambience and service were impressive enough to make me curious to see if the food can redeem the experience next time around.

Terrible customer service before you even reserve a table. I called for a reservation at 9 pm and before anything else could be mentioned, the first thing the hostess said is that I need to vacate the table by 9:30, expecting me to get done in 30 minutes as it is “restaurant policy”. On further questioning and mentioning that no such thing is mentioned on Zomato and multiple slots are available, she further continued to argue with me, stating that regardless of slot I will be asked to leave at 9:30. Truly a fine dine experience, Team Adelina. Kudos to you!
