Condé Nast Traveller's choice: Americano brings modern Italian cooking to South Mumbai. Ingredient-obsessed, consistently brilliant, this is a room that is packed night after night.
A low-lit, magnetic room that feels sexy and charged. Wood-fired pizza with perfect char, a beautifully simple roast chicken, and India’s most talked-about tiramisu.
Alexander Sanchez, previously at Eleven Madison Park, New York, and The Table, Mumbai, perfects every detail making Americano exacting and effortlessly cool.

Really nice place. Captain/serving staff is very nice and polite. I had a Malabar Cooler which was amazing, especially on a hot day. For food, it was the Kale Salad (quantity was a little disappointing given the price) and the American Roast Chicken, which was quite a healthy portion and tasted nice. We were seated at the bar area, but it was quite comfortable and not awkward at all which is usually the case when at the bar for a longer amount of time). A good experience and I would definitely visit again to try some more of the cocktails, pizzas and pastas

Lively ambience, warm staff and awesome food! Everything we ate was delicious. I loved the pizza crust and how fresh the sauces were, both in the pizza and pasta. Cocktails were great too, innovative and not too sweet.

the mushroom ragu was fabulously yummy... the texture of the pasta is like no other pasta we have eaten before .. the sauce, nice bite sizes of mushrooms.. this was exceptional. little gems salad - I don't know why it's so popular, it's nothing different from lettuce onion candied walnut salad one can eat anywhere! we tried the brussel sprouts salad , something which isn't seen on many menus - as an experiment, it was a good one. pink Panther pizza - nice. service staff are very warm, really observant. waiting time - to sit and for your food - is quite long but the nice vibe of the place makes up for it. I liked my word for word cocktail. tiramisu is a nice heavy portion, we gave in to order the crowd favorite. great meal overall

I have been quite a regular at Americano for the last 2-3 years, unfortunately the food quality has gone down dramatically in the last year. This was the best pizza joint in town, but no more. I asked and they said the chef has changed, and it feels so. Try out Siciliana in palladium for the new best pizza.

Americano felt quite overhyped. We ordered a vegetarian pizza and pasta, both of which were very average. I’ve definitely had better pizzas elsewhere. However, the mocktails were a highlight of the experience. They were actually amazing and tasted really good, which somewhat made up for the food.

Have been trying to contact your restaurant for the past few days, but the calls just don’t get through. It’s really frustrating when there’s no response or way to connect with the restaurant directly. Please improve your customer support and availability.

If you have waited two months for a table and are excited for this experience, let me tell you that you are in for a very bad time. This restaurant is very successful in creating an artificial hype by scarcity of tables, which has turned into a success with people flocking in, just like me, but when your end product, your food is so below average, you will never get return customers. The food is so bad, it just looks ok but it tastes so disappointing, that you wonder how are people even eating this food? How is this passing off as a fine dining italian restaurant? The food is so lacking in flavour that i wonder whether the team that created this menu even tasted their dishes before putting it out to their customers. The worst dish of all was the burrata pizza, where the pizza sauce was so oily, so revolting it tasted like stale tomato soup from a can. And there were people on the night that i went (they may have been walk ins) standing and eating at their cramped counters, i felt so bad for them. Guys just put up some high seating chairs, you are literally making people stand and eat your substandard food? You feel cheated basically at the end of this experience, 2 months of wait for some of the most disappointing food in your life.

if you can't get people a table, you should not let them in. got promised with a table on call, ended up travelling for an hour, waiting for more than an hour and then ordering & eating while standing and then being told that no table will be given is absolute shameless behaviour. don't let people in if you know you can't be of good service - esp the ones taking the booking. and the food is def not worth it - the server was kind enough to offer a dessert complimentary for a standing dinner. overhyped.
