Had heard about this restaurant from multiple places and decided to try out. It is not a fancy restaurant, and the seating is as per space available. So you may have strangers eating beside you. But the food is really great. The idli in jackfruit leaf, benne dosa, and pineapple sheera that we tried were simply super. They also sell the podis, banana wafers, halwa, and a whole lot of delicious items at a counter within the restaurant, and please do try that as well. Service is fantastic, too. Must visit for sure. And don't forget to have the filter coffee. One of the finest.

**A Masaledaar Journey at Anand Bhavan – Matunga** 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Stepping into Anand Bhavan in Matunga is like walking onto the set of a classic Bollywood film – full of flavor, charm, and that unmistakable desi vibe! **Rava Masala Dosa**: This golden beauty made an entrance like the quintessential Bollywood hero – crisp, charismatic, and with just the right amount of spice to keep you hooked. Every bite was a blockbuster, with the masala filling delivering punchy dialogues of flavor! **Mysore Dosa**: Now, this one’s the fiery, rebellious heroine. The bold red chutney spread over the dosa was the ultimate “masala maar ke” moment. Spicy, tangy, and utterly unforgettable – she ruled the plate! **Filter Coffee**: Ah, the climax! Smooth, frothy, and strong – this coffee was the perfect ending to the gastronomic drama. It had the warmth of a Rajshri film and the energy of a masala entertainer. The ambiance? Pure nostalgia with a whiff of tradition. The service? As quick and efficient as a Salman Khan action scene. Final Verdict: Anand Bhavan gets a solid **4/5** for a dining experience that’s nothing short of **paisa vasool**!

We went for breakfast here. Benne Dosa was just perfect... very good. There were 3 types of chutney and all of them were so good. Red chutney, green coconut and mint. We plan to visit again to try out other items as well.

We tried their rawa mysore masala, and it was wholesome. Rasam vada was also pretty decent.

The place is pathetic with bad service and over arrogant owner and service personnel. The owner literally told one of his staffer to not take order from a person since they came to a table late. Absolutely bad taste as well. People only come here since they get a place to sit when there is waiting in Madras cafe and Mysore Cafe

very small place, reasonably ok food but very rude management never feel like going again. I have seen the owner asking a senior citizen lady( limping) to get out rudely just because her husband was talking outside to some one he just met

Just don't understand the hype about this place. especially coz of the third grade service levels. the guy at the entrance literally treats customers like beggars - asking them not to step inside, or telling them to go out or addressing customers saying - 'ay hero'. no wonders other joints like mysore cafe and madras cafe have more rush than this place since the quality is deteriorating. the waiters inside are so transactional and rude about any requests you make. while i understand that these type of restaurants don't customise orders, the same can be conveyed politely. and all this for the type of food that I can get anywhere else in the vicinity. won't recommend this place at all.

Pathetic place to be in.. the owner is very arrogant and manerless.. the food we ordered came after a long wait and wrong order .. the dosa was dry and cold .. the chutney sambar wasnt served .. the owner had loads of attitude dont know for what ..he cancelled the order .. no consideration for a child who was waiting for her meal..If someone wants bad food and wants to get insulted then only step into this place

Extremely arrogant owner/ manager (person at the counter) . Has no matters to speak to his customers. He certainly needs to learn to speak to customers before serving food. Definitely an avoidable place.
