A vintage Irani restaurant located in Ballard Estate. This restaurant is frequented with locals as well as foreigners. It's interior is quite simple having old ceiling fans, typical Iranian tables, portraits showcasing Iranian, British & Indian cultures, old vintage clock etc. The owner usually sits at the counter along with his pet dog, his son and his granddaughter. Very friendly & jolly people, though. Before entering, his son reserves the table accordingly as per the number of guests. Firstly, had ordered a Veg Berry Pulao that consisted of yellow & white rice, vegetable curry, veggies, fried onions, cashews and Iranian berries. It tasted really delicious. Secondly, had ordered a Raspberry Soda. It was so refreshing. The quantity was solid. The ambience was excellent. The service was excellent. The price was a bit on a higher side.  The payment is accepted in cash only. UPI transactions are not accepted. Overall, an excellent place for exotic Parsi & Iranian cuisine.

An old-world eatery — the décor remains largely untouched, it adds to the place’s nostalgic character. The food is good, even if a bit on the expensive side. We ordered the chicken cutlets, berry pulao, egg curry, lime water, their signature soda, and a caramel pudding. Everything tasted great — the berry pulao was a little different from what I expected, but in a pleasant way. The staff, mostly elderly gentlemen, were warm and welcoming, adding to the experience. Overall, a satisfying visit to a Mumbai classic. Wishing them many more decades of serving Mumbaikars with the same spirit and flavor.

Located near Ballard Estate — a classic old-school Parsi café with timeless charm. Had the chicken berry pulao, caramel custard, and raspberry drink — the pulao stood out with its unique sweet-tangy flavour, and the custard was simple and comforting. Overall, great for the heritage vibe and iconic dishes, more about the experience than just the food.

Surely worth a visit at least once simply for the history. the famous mutton berry pulav is over rated and does not match the price in this restaurant which only accepts cash. Also, they seemed a bit hurried to serve and make you leave...surprising for a weekday lunch. No regrets though, if you haven't been to this place yet, go for decent to good food, slightly over priced but rich in history. cheers

As a vegetarian I had limited options here, so the veg berry pulao it was. Honestly I was underwhelmed. My partner ordered the chicken cutlets which were super oily and under-seasoned. The caramel custard was nice. Go for the hype, not the food.

None of the food was tasty. Went there after seeing so many review. Over hyped. Even the food had hair in it. Pathetic

The place is well past its prime. Visited after more than a decade. Berry pulao was passable and salli boti atrocious, just a gloop of onion gravy with hardly any boti to speak of . The icecream soda had 3x the required essence. Only the bombil was acceptable. A place best avoided.

Overrated as hell. Hygiene level 0 Streetside pulavs are much better than their berry pulav. And the worst part is you will have cats jumping onto your table while you are having food, leaving hairs in and around your plate. Totally disgusted.
