It was a beautiful experience exploring the Bengali culture and the food was very aromatic and delectable. The staff was very humble and helped us explore what we would like since this was the first time we tried Bengali food. 10/10 experience, 10/10 food and 10/10 ambience. Would definitely recommend 👍 !

the finest food in a very long time... it is homely... had my biryadi, luchi, kosha mangsho & fish fry.. all with hands.. a food served with love, purest ingredients and nothing else but flavours. coming back for more soon. PS - the plate here x3 , all of us .. KOLKATA ON A PLATE.❤️

We had been to calcutta chronicles quite a few times over the last 2-3 years. While the food has been good, the place has deteriorated as anything. This time around we ordered the food and couldn't withstand the sensory torture the place has become. Service is terribly slow. The phone keeps ringing continuously and we had to ask them to lower the phone volume. The place now smells yuck and there are cockroaches roaming around. The ACs don't work. My reason to write this is to give Calcuatta chronicles an opportunity to look back and work on a few basic things which makes the dining experience pleasant. Not expecting a 5-star experience, but it at least has to be pleasant.

We booked a table through Zomato and were informed by the restaurant manager that payment via Zomato was not available, as they claimed the facility had been stopped for the last two days. However, when a Zomato agent contacted the restaurant manager to verify this, the manager incorrectly stated that we had requested to make the payment directly at the restaurant. This statement is false. We intended to use the payment option available through Zomato as per our booking. We request that this issue be investigated and appropriate action be taken to prevent such misleading information from being provided to customers and Zomato representatives."

I went there with a lot of expectations and was utterly disappointed. Is the cook even Bengali? Has he/she ever eaten real Kolkata biriyani? we also ordered mutton kosha. very bad. too bad. https://youtu.be/SbWGXcZTYzg please learn from here it is very very easy to make. what we had was just masala and rice. I am deeply sad today

What a horrible experience. A few days back we had ordered from this place and thought of visiting it as well, but it turned out to be one of the most unhygienic places we have seen. There were so many cockroaches around. They seriously need to pay attention to cleanliness and hygiene.

The food was old and stale. The place is dirty and full of cockroaches. The place should be treated for pests before re-opening. overall very bad place and bad experience
