Very old & famous cafe in Bandra. Very nice ambiance. Very nice sandwiches,pastries, cold coffee,food items. Worth a visit.

Candies was once the place in Bandra, a beloved landmark for great snacks, good conversations, and easy hangouts. For years, it was the go-to spot for college crowds thanks to its affordable prices and relaxed vibe. Which is exactly why it breaks my heart to write this review. My recent experiences at this outlet have been consistently terrible, and I can no longer stay quiet about it. The staff is where it all falls apart. Basic courtesy and professionalism are simply absent. You have to shout your order at least 10 times just to get someone to acknowledge you exist — and even then, you don't get so much as a nod to confirm they've actually heard you. The pace of service is so painfully slow that I'm convinced if a mosquito landed on their nose, they wouldn't bother to swat it. On my last visit, I waited 15 minutes for a chicken puff — only to receive one that was completely cold. When I flagged this to a staff member, instead of a simple apology, she proceeded to lecture me about how it's kept in the "hot section" and served hot. For context, the so-called hot section is just a lit display counter that barely generates any warmth. Yet there she was, insisting the food was hot while I was holding something stone cold. The audacity and lack of basic customer etiquette was truly something else. To add insult to injury, the prices once refreshingly affordable are now obnoxiously high and simply not justified by the quality of food or service on offer. Candies, you were once my favorite. It genuinely saddens me to say that you are now a hard no from me. Sort out your staff, revisit your pricing, and maybe, just maybe, you can reclaim what once made you special.

We visited Candies Reclamation expecting a good café experience, but it turned out to be quite disappointing. The food was below average items like rolls and chops were simply reheated in a microwave, with no sense of freshness or quality. Hygiene standards were concerning. One major issue was that the same microwave was used for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items, which is unacceptable for those who strictly follow dietary preferences or restrictions. The staff’s behavior also left a lot to be desired. They came across as rude and dismissive, almost as if they were doing us a favor by serving the food. The atmosphere inside was chaotic, with staff yelling across the floor for people to collect their orders it felt more like a fish market than a café. Overall, the experience was far from what we expected, and I hope the management takes serious steps to improve the food quality, hygiene, and customer service.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price We had a very underwhelming experience. The food was stale and not at all up to the mark. We ordered noodles, paneer banquets, mojito, lemonade, and a cheese croissant — but nothing stood out in terms of taste or freshness. In fact, both my husband and I felt unwell after the meal, likely due to the quality of the food. The ambience was just average and didn’t really add to the experience. For a total bill of ₹1500, the experience felt overpriced and disappointing. Would not recommend based on our visit.

Horrible service staff. Lazy, inattentive and basically bunched up in a corner having arguments amongst themselves while people are waiting to order. Separate payment counter but no one was manning it. Had to call them and wait for them to get to work. Told me they didn’t have change for a 500 and when i asked them to cancel my order, the 350 in change suddenly appeared.

why is there so much mismanagement here? No crowd control, staff is clueless, no security etc. The person taking order then starts to prepare the order. Can't yll have two different sets of employees for different work areas? People smoking and no the mgmt doesn't bother. Technically you can't order anything...only get what the kitchen has prepared.

Visited Candies Bandra, and it was a bit of a letdown 😕 Service was kinda slow, and the outdoor seating area felt cramped. Food was okay, nothing too special. Maybe it's just me, but won't be rushing back 🙅‍♂️

I don't understand why this place is still open. It serves stale food, i dont know how old, rude staff, and food is not worth the price too. Nothing is fresh. Be careful while eating here, might get food poisoning
