Food was delicious and ambience was great, but they are smartly circumventing the service charges ban by renaming the charge as STAFF WELFARE. Please be aware if this new trick by restaurants now.

I rarely write bad reviews, but this experience left a particularly sour taste—especially given the occasion. We had chosen Canto to celebrate my mother’s birthday and had even made a prior reservation. Unfortunately, we were running slightly late due to traffic—something quite common and often unavoidable. What was truly disappointing, however, was the way we were treated on arrival. The restaurant was completely empty, yet the staff member at the entrance was inexplicably rude and dismissive. Instead of a basic level of understanding or courtesy—especially considering it was a special family occasion—we were met with an attitude that felt unwelcoming and unnecessarily harsh. It’s hard to overlook such behavior when you’ve specifically chosen a place to celebrate something meaningful. A little empathy and professionalism would have gone a long way, particularly when there was clearly no crowd or operational pressure. Hospitality is about making people feel valued. Sadly, Canto failed at the very first step. What should have been a warm birthday outing turned into a disappointing experience. Would not recommend.

I had ordered a veg thai curry. I was served chicken thai curry. I ended up tasting a little thinking it's mushroom and it tasted off to me. It is unacceptable that they can't even follow basic instructions. We had ordered only 4-5 items. Service is extremely poor. They really need to get their act together. In any other country folks would go about suing restaurants. I think things are taken too lightly here. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

I have been to canto before and had a good experience but this time it was a fail. The food tasted stale for the first time. Second time it was undercooked. The service was extremely slow even when there was no rush at all. Overall not at all a good experience
