Disappointing Service and Average Food at Cecconi’s Mumbai We visited Cecconi’s Mumbai for lunch and, unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing, especially considering the restaurant’s reputation. The service was inattentive throughout our meal. Perhaps the restaurant had just opened for lunch, but that is no excuse for guests to feel neglected. The person who took our order did not check on us even once during the meal. The food was quite average. The Chicken Milanese Parmesan was overcooked, and the tomato pasta had far too much sauce. Our Caesar salad arrived only after we had finished our main course, which was particularly disappointing. The one highlight was the tiramisu, which was genuinely very good.

Disappointing experience overall. The meals were decent, but the staff’s attitude and service were poor. We waited 20 minutes for tea only to be told it wasn’t available. The tables were extremely wobbly, causing our water glass to fall and spill all over my clothes. The valet experience was also unpleasant—the car had a strong, lingering smell when it was returned. There’s also a ₹6,000 minimum spend per person for the ocean-view seating, which feels excessive, especially for someone who doesn’t drink. Zomato also charges a ₹500 cover per person, which is deducted from the bill, but there was no additional 10% discount as advertised, along with a separate convenience fee. For a place like Soho House, the service, upkeep and overall experience need significant improvement.
