We decided to try out the food from a new restaurant this Sunday and were absolutely delighted with our experience. We ordered Vangyache Bharit, Masale Bhaat, Solkadhi, and Ukadiche Modak. Each dish was fantastic, but the filling of the Modak stood out—it was simply amazing. The flavors were rich and authentic, making our meal truly memorable. Highly recommended!

I would say that Chauranga serves one of the best misal pav. It is totally worth it. Not at all too spicy or oily. It is just perfect. Aamras Puri thali is great. Even mattar pattice and tomato saar are good, but tomato saar is too spicy. For desserts, do try modak. It just melts in your mouth and the saaran (inner filling of the modak) just has the perfect taste and has great quantity. The owners have also taken efforts to create a nice ambience. The only negative part here is service. The staff is not at all trained and don't have basic manners right from the very basic being offering water and menu card as soon as a customer walks in. They are not alert and attentive. I was very surprised when me and my father had ordered misal pav, but I was served the dish within 10 minutes and the same dish was served 20 mins later to my father. The owners should take this into consideration otherwise people will lose interest in dining here despite the fact that the ambience and quality of food is worth it.

Visited Chaurang near Shivaji Park, Dadar multiple times, and honestly, the experience kept getting worse. The first time, the menu was actually the best part of the restaurant, they had unique dishes and good variety, though the prices already felt quite high for the quantity served. The second time, the lady staff was extremely rude, just like during my first visit. Still, I visited again because my mother wanted to try their food. But this time, it was a complete disappointment. They have removed so many good dishes from the menu like vatanyachi usal, amboli, kajuchi usal, and many other items which actually made the place special. Now the menu feels very basic, so what’s even the point anymore? The pricing is absolutely not justified for the quantity and quality being served. Even something as simple as extra ghee costs around ₹30, and the quantity given is extremely less. Very disappointing overall, rude staff, reduced menu, small portions, and overpriced food.

The food was quite bland overall, with very little salt and flavor. The limbu sarbat was already prepared and served, but it tasted too mild and lacked freshness. Overall, the dishes could use better seasoning and more balanced flavors.

Decided to visit, this place as my friend had suggested, it is a new and she was curious to try. The place is an average place, it has a gloomy feeling. The furniture and show items looks good though. The service is pathetic. There are two managers and three lady manager has a grumpy face and irritated and has no smile at all. We called her more than 5 times to take our order she said yes but never came and ignored us and was roaming and attending to others. There were others also waiting to place order. The male manager is bit better at Least he had the courtesy to come and take the order. The food is average. The washroom is stinky and the flush was not working. How can they not fix the washroom during a busy evening time? I had to use the washroom as bladder was full but the lady manager did not allow stating flush is not working. The owner of the place came later and I asked her politely she said you can use of if it is urgent . The owner is a kind lady. The only good thing was an uncle who was a server who was on his toes all the time and serving people with a smile and kind words. There was a big group who had come and they were pretty upset as they were served stale food. We heard the whole commotion. The manager was arguing saying we gave discount but the ladies stood by and got the money deducted for the thali. I will never be visiting this place again nor will be recommending to anyone.

on a usual Tuesday, they didn't had bhakris to serve during peak dinner time (at around 9) we had to request multiple times for water. most of the dishes had some or the other issues. we had to point out the difference in the menu vs actual dish served. after placing the order they told us one of the dish in thali was over so we thought it's okay. but they charged full for that & didn't even bothered to say sorry. I had more expectations from this place but surely a disappointment.
