China garden has been my favourite restaurant since childhood. Many Chinese restaurants have come but none can compete with China garden. Food has never disappointed.

Visited CG kemps corner after a while. Have been regulars (weekly) before that. As always food is nice. Started with beef chilly, pork soy chilly wine, prawns oyster chilly garlic. Portions can be improved for the price but CG was never a VFM place. Main course - chicken hunan gravy and Mix fried rice was delicious and a generous portion. Service takes quite a long while but maybe they were short staffed or probably serving regulars faster. Seating is basis the whim of the supervisor. While we were given just 2 options, we noticed the regulars waltz in and sit in the inner section which was out of bounds earlier. Place needs a serious bout of renovation, including washrooms. Hope Mr Nelson isn’t planning on shutting shop soon as it’s been an iconic Chinese restaurant.

We had gone to China Garden for lunch. I would like to point out that the service was very, very poor as the crowd increased in the restaurant lots noise was their. we had ordered the following things Starters 1. Chicken Wonton 2. Chicken Spring Roll For Main Course 1. Chicken Burnt Garlic Fried Rice 2. Chicken Hu

Shockingly bad experience. We go back with China Garden all the way to the early 90's when my parents were members of piano bar and China Garden was our regular hangout. Samson was the man in charge then and is still the best part of the nostalgia. Swore by the brand and food and despite all the negative reviews we were fierce proponents of this fading place but.. it's a mess now in the hands of the manager Simon. The staff has actually improved but the head Simon seems to have a pecking order in service which makes a mess of the overall experience. It gets worse when Nelsons son comes in and instructs the staff to focus on certain tables. Truly doesn't understand what and how his dad built a brand and cult following. There was a 85 Yr old with us who cd barely walk and they knew that yet nil service at the table. Orders were taken by junior staff who messed up and overall delayed food with dinner taking nearly 3 hrs. Absolutely unapologetic and dismal. Curtains

PATHETIC SERVICE ! Was there today had soup, mocktail & veg Manchurian. had ordered for veg schezwan rice & chicken fried rice they took 40 mins to deliver. The crew was just indifferent. to top it up their manager walks in and unapologetically cites it's their standard practice. Definitely not a place to visit. all hyped Nelson Wang stuff.

Very bad experience, a regular since 20 years and the first time I've had such an experience. the service was bad, food was served cold and the waiter had no sense of what was happening. best part, the staff, sr manager and owner were clueless and don't have a sense of customer service.

Food was average service was very bad food took for every to come staff is incorporative after getting the wrong order they took ever to correct it. Horrible service

You need to have quality chicken, Kun Pao chicken was horrible like eating black rubber pieces,sauce was too sour and salty.

Very bad experience. Food quality and taste was very poor. Not worth visiting at all.
