I have been going to China Garden for years now. It’s a family favourite restaurant and we celebrate almost all our birthdays/anniversaries there. The food has always been amazing, the pepper chicken and corn cream especially being unbeatable. It’s not uncommon for a really great place to go through a period of decline but what matters is the way they bounce back! I celebrated my birthday there last night and it was probably the best meal I’ve had there in a while. Mr. Gabriel and his team and Mr. Simon took such great care of us. The food was excellent, the service was quick. Mr. Gabriel’s recommendation of the Hakka Fish is my new favourite dish there along with the Chicken Manchurian which Mr Nelson Wang(the owner) is the pioneer of. China Garden has been and always will be a really special place! Thank you to everyone, from the hostess to Mr. Gabriel, Mr. Simon and the staff for a wonderful night !

This has been an old favourite at home for many years and still holds up when we went there recently. The place has a very old world aesthetic but don't let that fool you. Their food is very good, with the fried corn curd being an absolute must have. Even though the place may be more expensive compared to other options for Chinese food, this is always a place to consider for a good Chinese meal.

Visited CG kemps corner after a while. Have been regulars (weekly) before that. As always food is nice. Started with beef chilly, pork soy chilly wine, prawns oyster chilly garlic. Portions can be improved for the price but CG was never a VFM place. Main course - chicken hunan gravy and Mix fried rice was delicious and a generous portion. Service takes quite a long while but maybe they were short staffed or probably serving regulars faster. Seating is basis the whim of the supervisor. While we were given just 2 options, we noticed the regulars waltz in and sit in the inner section which was out of bounds earlier. Place needs a serious bout of renovation, including washrooms. Hope Mr Nelson isn’t planning on shutting shop soon as it’s been an iconic Chinese restaurant.

The restaurant that once was the favorite of most people has unfortunately lost its charm. The food is no longer as good as it used to be. It’s become oily, greasy, and lacks the taste that made it special. The ambience hasn’t changed in 20–30 years and is now outdated. There’s a persistent foul smell, and since the restaurant isn’t doing well, one area remains shut. Some wobbly tables might keep you entertained while you sit in a stinky place, eating food that is, at best, average. The table mats are old and smelly, adding to the overall unpleasant experience. The senior-most manager seems to be coasting toward retirement, clearly uninterested. The servers are untrained—one even spilled food into my water. It’s a shame to see my once-favorite restaurant decline so drastically. I wouldn’t recommend it anymore. I visited recently for nostalgic reasons, but it’s just not worth it. To top it off, there’s no valet service. Instead, you’ll encounter a scammer charging ₹100 for parking, handing out old or handwritten receipts, and pocketing the money. (Management knows and doesn’t care, very rude guy too) Overall, a terrible experience.

Completely pathetic place, our food had dead insects in it, it was the very first dish we had called for when pointed out the manager had nothing to say. We decided not to call anything further and leave without eating anything. The manager shamelessly brought the bill for the food. Really dissappointed with the way such restaurants just dont care about the quality of food and customers health is just neglected so easily

Very bad experience, a regular since 20 years and the first time I've had such an experience. the service was bad, food was served cold and the waiter had no sense of what was happening. best part, the staff, sr manager and owner were clueless and don't have a sense of customer service.
