We visited for dinner for the very first time on Mother's Day. It is a small eatery with limited seating. We had a wait time of I think 15-20 minutes. They have very pretty menus, albeit a bit heavy. This is one of Kolkata's most well known restaurant chains and has a large menu. Our server for the night was Mr Narayan who helped recommend our second appetiser - Pepper Garlic Chicken. He gave us detailed descriptions of flavour profiles for each dish. Due to the rush, there was ample wait time between dishes so it's maybe better to visit during weekdays or at daytime. Our appetisers tasted nearly identical in terms of the marinade used - Pepper Garlic Chicken and Thai Style drums of heaven. Both were amply spicy and well seasoned. Those fond of chatpate starters will appreciate these. Portion size is 8 pieces. Then we ordered Chicken Pad Thai which again tasted authentic (I have tasted it in Thailand). The spice level was a bit much but they were generous with the quantity of chicken, egg and veggies used. Finally we concluded with the Shanghai Style Chicken Mei fun (style recommended by Narayan). This was a more balanced mains that paired well with their condiments and had fresh veggies like baby corn, broccoli in good quantity along with chicken. The overall experience was good, likewise for pricing, taste and service. I hope to be back soon.

Hi, i have visited the chowman the taste is good and the ambience is also very peaceful with the music feel nice and great. Vibe is perfect service from the staff is also good it was hygeine and all was good

It's unfortunate that the time taken to serve dine in customers is beyond slow because the food at Chow Man is really good. It is however not good enough to make you forget the wait time, especially when they send out delivery orders right in front of you. When they did bring the food they served the rice and we had to wait another 15minutes for the gravy which made the rice go cold. The manager was not helpful at all and instead simply said wait for some more time. Overall it was an unfortunate dining experience and I would not dine in again.

Extremely disappointing experience at Chowman Mira Road We visited this outlet with decent expectations but left completely disappointed. The Manchow Soup was water-logged and entirely tasteless. Hoping the main course would be better, we ordered the mixed Chilli Fried Rice. It was awful—the rice felt stale and preserved from the previous day, aggressively tossed in Schezwan sauce to hide the lack of freshness.

Very poor experience !! 9.30 pm today just now I visited Chowman restaurant !!!! AC inside the restaurant A/C was on !!! Staff was fooling around... Told us initially that the restaurant is closed due to Exhaust not working !!! Requested a lot but was told Chef has gone home and no one can cook.. Came from far to have food going with a very poor customer service experience

this is really pathatic service that gave, food was not good in booked table thru Zomato however they mentioned they are not taking booking thru zomato by paying table booking charges we had to wait 45min after that as well

worst place with horrible staff.. entire restaurant was empty still they took 40mins for 1 order and the staff attitude was as if they are giving you food for free
