This place inspires love and warmth of home! The seating arrangements are warm and cozy and the food - I can never have enough of their food! The food they make is epitome of balance - the lassi never too sweet, Aam panna not too sour, Chikmagalur coffee perfectly bitter, the aloo tuk and bhindi fry to die for! I’ve tried the khichdi meal, the Champaran mutton meal, rogan josh meal, and so many others, and everything has been a 10/10! Easily one of the best Indian food joints in Mumbai. P.S. They don’t add a service charge but the food and their warmth will make you want to tip.

Zero respect for paying customers or basic reservations ​If you are planning to visit Folk in Kala Ghoda, do not bother booking in advance—because a reservation clearly means nothing to them. ​We reserved a table well ahead of time, arrived promptly, and were told to wait because our table wasn't ready. Annoying, but standard. What is completely unacceptable is watching a walk-in group stroll in several minutes after us, chat casually with the host, and be seated immediately while we were left stranded by the door like second-class citizens. ​When we confronted the staff about giving away seating to people without a booking while confirmed reservations were waiting, we were met with blank stares, defensive shrugs, and zero accountability. The sheer arrogance and dismissive attitude of the front-of-house team was baffling. ​There is no excuse for blatant favoritism and amateur management. If your system allows walk-ins to jump ahead of reserved guests, your reservation system is a scam.
