We had an amazing experience at Freny's From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and helpful. Govinda made the whole process smooth, ensuring we were comfortable throughout, even though the acs not functioning well. The stand fan helped a bit after settling in. First for the East Indian appreciation, felt like my paternal home, walking up the staircase, photos of Freny and her family, the speakers covered with lace covers, just like my grandma's crochet and lace ones. This East Indian porgi was surely happy. The cozy seating, the huge bar wall and cozy lights and a fabulous playlist of old english numbers set the mood and cute table mats with games to play while you wait for your order. Onto the food, no Eastie will not have fugiyaaasss 😍 Ordered a basket with herb butter on the side. In foodie heaven, humongous, came with a trio of it, on the house fugiyas as well. The next was the Bhakri pork belly taco bite, kius selection hit the sweet spot. Perfect fusion done well. The next round Frenys fried chicken, tender chicken strips coated with a crunchy flavored batter. Good so far. The Carribean Jerk Chicken was a lovely deep dish, with fried plantain chips made in house and a yummy salsa dip very refreshing with a side of mayo. Wedding rice with raisins to celebrate our anniversary with Peter's mutton curry, was just a comfort meal with the tangy East Indian wedding pickle. A perfect ending was the Pastel De Nata which was freshly prepared even though it was almost closing time. Chef Freny also sent a complimentary dessert wishing us for our anniversary, even though she was out. Very touched by this gesture. The drinks, as per each preferred taste buds were good, again Oreo Cheesecake Shake, Hazelnut cold coffee was slightly bitter for hubbys tastes and a Fresh orange juice for myself. Govinda surely deserves an extra mention, for indulging us with our photos and suggestions. Thank you Freny's and the team, had a really lovely celebratory meal to mark our 16th anniversary. The customer service was top-notch, non intrusive but attentive, and we will be returning! 05/06/2026

The service was exceptionally warm! The food was surprisingly good and homely. We happened to stumble upon this place and absolutely loved it! The Freny’s fried chicken and the a fish and chips were the clear highlight

Excellent East Indian food. Loved the fugye and the pork thali. Very courteous and friendly service by entire staff. Great overall experience.

Disappointing experience overall. Although our server was very polite and helpful, there seemed to be no concept of meal courses, everyone’s orders were delivered randomly and staggered with very lengthy wait times. Wouldn’t rush back.
