Gaijin is easily one of the most impressive dining experiences I’ve had in Mumbai. From the moment you walk in, the space feels incredibly well thought out — stylish, sophisticated and energetic without trying too hard. The food is exceptional, with beautifully presented dishes, bold flavours and a level of attention to detail that really stands out. Every course felt considered, and the overall menu strikes a great balance between creativity and comfort. What really elevates Gaijin, though, is the complete experience — the ambience, music, service and attention to detail all come together seamlessly. It has that rare combination of being sophisticated enough for a special dinner while still having the energy to make you want to stay longer. A beautiful space, excellent food and a genuinely memorable atmosphere. Gaijin is definitely a restaurant I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommended.

The food and cocktails are great and the extra attention that the staff pays to every single table is really appreciated. They observe everything within seconds, from the empty plates to any doubts about the menu. It’s just a lovely time whenever we go here for a family meal. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Amazing food, excellent service and a warm and welcoming ambience. I have had several lunches and dinners here and was never disappointed. My favourites and must haves here are lamb ribs, various fried rice dishes and the barbecue meat/ prawn options, just to name a few.

Everything was very good. However I like Izumi better. This feels more gimmicky with all the crispy bits and sauces on the appetizers. And also very expensive.

Sinoj was amazing and the ramen’s were also top notch. However, the quantity of small plate items could have been better. Just 3 pieces of gyoza in the gyoza plate is too less even for 2 people/couple visiting. Please consider this feedback

if you want to trya good signature style Asian food then this is the place..It's Superb..Mayur has helped us to select the dishes carefully and he is ana amazing server.. overall a very good experience

Extremely Overhyped & Disappointing Honestly, I don’t understand the hype around Gaijin. We found cartilage and bones in the tenderloin katsu, bones in the lamb fried rice, and what appeared to be a shell in the sushi. When we complained, the waiter said this was “normal” and that people apparently don’t complain about finding bones in their food. The crab udon cost ₹1,950 and had barely any crab or crab flavour. To make matters worse, we asked to see a photo of the chocolate fondant before ordering, but the staff ordered it without confirmation. When we questioned it, the waiter shouted at us and embarrassed us in front of other guests. We’ve dined at Nobu, Mizu and Izumi, and this experience was nowhere close. ₹9,000 for poor food quality and extremely unprofessional service. Definitely not worth it.
