Chicken wade, Goan Chili chicken, Mutton Sukka/gravy, fish rassa, pomfret fry are my all time fav. I like prawns masala and shimplya/tisrya malasa also. Food is not too spicy and is light on stomach so you can take your senior family members along without worrying.

The fish here is absolutely amazing. Bharlela Paplet is a must try here. The pricing are decent, ambient isn't amazing. But the food won't disappoint

I had heard a lot about Gomantak in Dadar. On my recent visit, I finally decided to try it. It was raining heavily that day. Even then, the restaurant was completely packed. They have both AC and non-AC sections. I had to wait for about 15 to 20 minutes before getting a table. The crowd itself gave me a sense of how popular this place is among seafood lovers. I ordered the Chicken Masala Thali and Crab Masala with Rice Bhakri. The Chicken Masala Thali came with Chicken Gravy, Chicken Rassa, Rice, Bhakri, Sol Kadi, and Salad. The Chicken Gravy had a rich flavour that reminded me of coastal Goan cooking. It had depth, warmth, and a balance of spice. The Chicken Rassa was light and paired beautifully with rice. The Sol Kadi worked as a refreshing sip after the gravies. The Crab Masala was the highlight of the meal. The crab meat was fresh and sweet. The masala was layered with flavour and had the right amount of spice. The meat absorbed the masala so well that every bite felt satisfying. The staff even help you break the crab if needed, which makes it easier to enjoy. The Rice Bhakri was soft and thick. It soaked up the masala and gravies perfectly. To finish, I ordered the Caramel Custard. It was smooth, light, and mildly sweet. It balanced the spice of the seafood dishes. Gomantak is a family-style restaurant that focuses on good food rather than frills. The service was courteous and attentive. The prices are fair for the portions and quality. It is a reliable place in Dadar if you are looking for seafood that feels authentic and comforting. I visited here yesterday with my friends. We all want to have fish food so we decided to go here. after taking the seat in the Ac section. there was no one to give us a menu. We waited for about 10 minutes to get the menu, after waiting for more than 15 minutes the order taker came and took the order. We ordered a Prawn masala prawn fry Pomfret fry thali , surmai thali, chicken kadai , chapati, bhakri, and prawn pulav. after Placing the order we received the food in 20 minutes. but the taste of the food was worst, the gravy we received in both the thali was the same no taste at all. the pomfret and surmai were not fresh. all the gravy was the same in both the thali. even wada, Prawn pulav okay but solkadi was too watery. only the prawn fry and Prawn masala was the best part. Rest all the food was a waste of money. It was a really bad experience.

Fish fry not good - feels like eating a fish bhajiya. Jai Hind Lunch Home Bandra is far far better with similar price range Solkadi diluted by adding more water which kills its taste Overall a bad experience with their food

One of the most over rated places in Mumbai. Hygenine is terrible, taste is below average. They don't even take online payment.
