Mumbai has a place where you can taste 5 different South Indian regions under ONE roof?👀🔥 And trust me, this is not your regular South Indian restaurant!” We recently visited Gourami, Powai — Mumbai’s first speciality Southern Indian restaurant, bringing flavours from Andhra, Mangalore, Kerala, Tamil Nadu & more!🇮🇳✨ The royal, aesthetic interiors, super-comfy seating and chill vibes make it perfect for a dinner with friends or family. We started with the Malabar Chemmeen Soup— creamy, comforting and loaded with tiny prawns… absolutely loved it! 🤌 Then came my favourite — Curry Leaves Prawns! Big juicy prawns with that authentic South Indian flavour… a must-try! 🔥 But the real surprise? Wood-Fire Nalku Onde Chicken Pizza🍕 — FOUR regional chicken flavours from Andhra, Kerala, Mangalore & Tamil Nadu on one cheesy pizza! For drinks, we tried Grapefruitful Bacteri & Gourami’s Velvet Elixir — super refreshing! Don’t miss the Nellore Kodi Dosa with Chicken and its delicious chutneys. ❤️ And the Idli Curry Kuzhambu Mutton*? Idli + mutton is a combination I tried for the first time… and WOW! 🤯 The Chennai Express Chicken Gravy with Lacha Paratha was another standout! And finally, we ended with their trending Filter Coffee Tres Leches— honestly, 10/10!☕✨ Save this spot for your next foodie date in Powai! 📍

Gourami in Powai is Mumbai’s first speciality South Indian restaurant, and our dinner experience here was absolutely amazing! The restaurant is huge, spacious, and beautifully designed, making it perfect for friends, families, big groups, and even corporate meetups. We started with the Makka Cholam Anar Kosambi, which was refreshing and flavourful. The Curry Leaves Prawns and Chicken Ghee Roast Dosa were definitely among our favourites. We also tried the Gassi Idli Curry in Chicken, which was unique and delicious. For dessert, we ended our meal with the Tres Leches, a perfect sweet finish! Overall, everything from the food to the ambience and service made our experience fantastic. Definitely a place I’d recommend visiting with your friends and family when you’re craving authentic South Indian flavours! ❤️

Had a wonderful dining experience at Gourami, Mumbai. It’s a speciality Southern Indian restaurant that brings together flavours inspired by Andhra, Mangalore, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and more. We tried a variety of dishes, and each one had its own unique flavour. The Kerala Chicken Roast was juicy, spicy and packed with rich roasted flavours, while the Kheema Dosa was crispy and delicious. The Idli Curry Gassi was comforting and coconut-rich, and the Podi Pizza was a really interesting South Indian twist. Loved the variety, flavours and overall dining experience. A great place to explore Southern Indian cuisine with a contemporary touch. Definitely worth trying!

A new place, interiors done up very tastefully. Servers are helpful. Food is definitely different and interesting, a very welcoming change. The welcome drink was a shot of rasam with fried idli, pretty unique. I’d request them to increase the portion of meat in their entrees.
