I recently visited Green Leaf, Thane with friends after seeing several Instagram reels showcasing the restaurant’s ambience, décor, and food. Based on the photos and videos online, the place looked beautiful and perfect for a relaxed evening, so we decided to celebrate a friend’s birthday there. To start with something positive, the receptionist at the entrance was polite and welcoming, and the interior design of the restaurant does look aesthetically pleasing, similar to what is shown online. However, our overall experience was very disappointing. We visited the restaurant on 8 March 2026 at around 6:30 PM, which is the restaurant’s opening time. A female staff member who was assisting us was unfortunately quite rude in her behavior and tone. We initially wanted to sit in the upper seating area, but when we went upstairs, the entire area was dirty and clearly not cleaned or prepared for guests. When we looked back to ask about it, the staff member rudely told us that we couldn’t sit there. We then said we were fine sitting inside the AC section, but she told us that the AC section had not started yet and would open at 6:30 PM, even though it was already 6:30 PM at that time. When we eventually entered that section, we noticed 2–3 people already sitting there casually, which made the explanation even more confusing. Another disappointment was the amenities advertised in the reels. The videos showed a swimming pool and a small pond, which looked very attractive online. But in reality, the pool was dirty and the pond was completely empty, which made the place feel poorly maintained. Additionally, the music being played was extremely loud techno music, which felt very out of place for a restaurant setting. When people come to a restaurant for dinner or to celebrate a birthday, they usually expect comfortable ambient music, not club-style music that is so loud it disrupts conversation. The staff member assisting us also continued to make rude expressions and seemed uninterested in helping, which made the experience even worse. Overall, it felt like the online presence of the restaurant sets expectations that the actual experience does not meet. The ambience and décor have potential, but service, cleanliness, and overall management need significant improvement. It was disappointing because we chose this place specifically to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and unfortunately the experience did not live up to the expectations created by the photos and reels online. The only positive part of the experience was the polite receptionist at the entrance. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving staff behavior, cleanliness, and the overall guest experience.

I went for my 1st anniversary worst experience last visit 1)Ambiance 4/5 2)Food 2/5 3)Service 0/5 4) I have booked the restaurant via Zomato we received call from restaurant that we will get the barrel seating. 5) Barrel seating is the worst seating not comfortable aviod seating if you have elderly members. 6)Only one order taker to take order need to search server to order. 7) In Nonveg we have order Non veg platter it was cold and salty and manchow soup it was also blunt in taste. 8)In veg we have order for banjara panner tikka it was good. 9)In main course we order Murg agri handi boiler in non veg and dal tadka jeera rice in veg both we’re average in taste.Roti where burnt they replaced but took time all main course got cold. Server dont know how to service the food all spilled on plates and bowls. Plates and cutlery not clean and chipped 10) Dessert we order for slizzling brownie, sizzler plate was cold and took 30-45 min after we order. Not at all worth the hype prices are high for the service which they are giving. Attaching few photos for proof.

Need to work soft skills and handling customers needs. You need to cater customer and not the other way around. Basic peri peri fries order was also not done right some sort of other masala was added on to it someone who has eaten fried from famous establishments can tell the difference Initially booking was straight away denied as the number of pax were less. When we did a walk in and since it was almost empty entry was provided many reviews states overhyped is true.

came here for lunch. The restaurant is very dirty..maybe at night it isn't visible. worst service ever they didn't even offer us normal water, wanted us to buy bottled water. When they gave us water after much hesitation they said we couldn't ensure the water quality. So overall never come here at lunch, and if you come at night looking at the crowd and the flowing water pictures, know that it's not that clean.
