GULMURG at Shalimar Hotel, Kemps Corner. The newly revamped GULMURG at Shalimar Hotel, Kemps Corner, is the brainchild of Yash Advani and feels nicely done. The ambiance is soothing, with a fully stocked bar that sets a relaxed mood. The menu draws inspiration from Kashmiri dishes while keeping the classics. We tried two cocktails—Nimbu Pani Hill Ball and Chaat Negroni—both well-balanced and enjoyable. For starters, the Palak Patta Chaat was refreshing, tangy and full of flavour. The Podi Paneer, a nice North-South blend, is worth ordering, and the signature Mutton Galauti is a must-try. Among the mains, Gucchi Methi Malai stood out as truly amazing. Their Delhi Butter Chicken is another signature dish—pair it with butter naan. The Ghee Roast Prawns brought a lovely southern touch with balanced flavours. We ended with the Spiced Dark Chocolate Cannoli, filled with chocolate mousse, hazelnut and chocolate crumble. Service was good throughout. Overall, a nice place that is well wo

Gulmurg is one of those places where the food feels rooted in tradition while still keeping things interesting. We started with the Murg Badami Shorba, Tandoori Prawns, Truffle Malai Murg, and Peshawari Seekh Kebab, all very different but equally enjoyable. For the mains, the Murg Makhanwala with Delhi Butter Naan was rich, creamy, and comforting, while the Prawn Ghee Roast with Malabar Paratha brought bold roasted flavours and a beautifully flaky paratha. The Watermelon Mirchi Fizz and Ananas Masala added a refreshing fruity and spicy touch, and the Spiced Dark Chocolate Cannoli was a lovely way to finish. After more than six decades, Gulmurg continues to make Indian food the star of the table.

Recently visited Gulmurg restaurant, loved their Palak Patta Chaat, and their Nimbu Paani Highball cocktail was too good - light and refreshing Mushroom Ghee roast with Delhi butter naan suggested by Guru was amazing. Surely I will visit soon!

Loved the food and hospitality. It was a great experience. The corn ribs, palak patta chaat were absolute standouts for me. The cocktails as well, the chaat negroni was a great surprise. Can’t wait to go again! :)

Went to Gulmarg at Shalimar Hotel as a lunch guest. The ambience and the menu both belong in the 90’s , it’s a restaurant that is crying out for a revamp . The restaurant was empty bar 1 other table but yet the service was incredibly slow and when we complained they were not bothered and said they have to get food from 1 level down . The food in my opinion was overpriced and very mediocre for the quality and quantity served . I had to get my meal packed and leave without having lunch, while the rest of the group waited Additionally the air conditioning was turned off and then turned back on when we complained about it being too hot . Throught the meal I had the distinct feeling of being unwelcome by the service staff , as if they really did not want us to eat there and it was too much of a bother to serve . Thoroughly disappointing

Food is filled with oil and even though restaurant is shut for renovation since years now, they are keeping their kitchen on for deliveries and sending sub standard and unhygienic food to customers even after charging exorbitant prices. Food authority of India needs to check their kitchen as they are sending food that is full of oil

pathetic pathetic n pathetic... food was below average... service was dull and wait of over 1.5 hours just to charge 18% tax... I understand, it's an 4star restaurant but it deserves none... one of the most pathetic experience... lost my time
