If you have ever been to Inorbit mall and craved for South Indian food??? I know sound nuts cause personally South Indian food only at an authentic Udipi hotel. But still thought of giving this joint a try and guess what it wasn’t bad. Situated in food court this little place by HAS juices have is a new popup dealing in Authentic South Indian Food and we are not only talking about plain Idlis & Wadas but a lot more than that. Overall this is our take on @SouthBombay: Service:5/5 Food: 4/5 Creativity: 4/5 Food we ordered: 1. Garlic Cheese Chilly Uttapa: We first ordered this loaded uttapa just cause it looked good in the picture menu. It’s a regular Uttapa topped with green chilies, some garlic and loads of cheese served with a portion of sambhar & chutney. 2. South Platter: Secondly we went for the South platter as it covered Idli-Vada & Dal vada. So this had to be ordered. The idlis were mini in size while the wadas were nice and crisp. Even the Dal vada was good.. 3. Bisibelle Bhat : Next we tried this famous South Indian preparation which was okay. It was more like some Tawa Pulav. Though the taste was nice but it definitely needs to be improved to match that authentic taste.. 4. Masala Idli: This was on point, nice soft idlis topped with some fragrant flavorful Malgapudi masala and tawa fried. The masala gave it that nice hint of south Indian spices and definitely recommended.. 5. Crispy Moong Dal Dosa: Lastly we went for the Crispy Moong Dal Dosa, the dosa though flavourwise was quite good and interesting. Arrived in cone shaped but wasn’t that crispy to my dismay cause I really love such cone shaped crisp dosas. So was bit disappointed but other than that the flavor is quite good and a good change than the regular dosas.. 6. Pineapple Sheera: We ended our meal with a nice plate of pineapple sheera which was topped with bits of pineapple chunks. The sheera was nice with balanced sweetness. 7. Refreshments: For drinks we went for my all time fav. Berry Blast & Sitaphal Milkshake. Both were good and freshly prepared with fresh fruits. HAS has always been famous for its juices so they had to be on point. Overall I felt it to be a decent enough place. Some of the food items really pleased me. They have no seating so its gonna be the Malls food court seating. The staff here is very warm and helpful. So they help you in ordering and understanding the items. Overall you can definitely give it a try. Happy Fooding 🙂

ordered Cheese garlic dosa and onion uttapam. very average taste. worst part was the serving dishes which were just paper plates and paper cups. horrible value for money.

An okayish place if you wish to have coffee. The taste was decent but the prices are way too high. So, it totally depends how much you are willing to spend.

I ordered food salad smoothie and it was expecting more fruits as it was only for garnish and below that it was just smoothie so overall good experience.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the South India outlet at the In Orbit food court, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The overall quality of the dishes was quite disappointing. Firstly, let's talk about the presentation. The dishes lacked any sort of appeal or attention to detail. The colors were dull, and there was no effort made to make them visually appealing. It was as if they were simply thrown together without any thought or care. Moving on to the flavors, they were equally underwhelming. The food lacked the authentic taste that one would expect from a South Indian restaurant. It felt as if shortcuts were taken in the preparation, compromising the true essence of the cuisine. It was a far cry from the rich and aromatic flavors that I was hoping for. Furthermore, the ingredients used seemed to be of subpar quality. The lack of freshness was evident, and it affected the overall taste of the dishes. It was disheartening to see such a disregard for the importance of quality ingredients in creating a memorable dining experience. Lastly, I must mention the misleading claims made by the staff regarding their cooking methods. They boasted about their unique way of preparing dishes, but it was clear that this was nothing more than a marketing ploy. The haphazard way in which the dishes were prepared contradicted their claims, leaving me feeling deceived and unsatisfied. Overall, my experience at the South India outlet at the In Orbit food court was highly disappointing. The poor presentation, lackluster flavors, inferior ingredients, and misleading claims all contributed to a subpar dining experience. I cannot recommend this place to anyone seeking an authentic and enjoyable South Indian meal.

Poor handling of food - I ordered ABC juice. Your staff did not use gloves and used raw hands to prepare it. Before that your staff touched computer key board, trays, receipts etc. Hygiene was compromised. Poor service - People who ordered after me got their food first. I had to go and tell your staff to prepare my juice.

This place is an absolute disgrace to South Indian cuisine. The staff are downright rude, unhygienic, and lack even basic manners. They peddle disgusting, stale food that’s a complete insult to anyone’s taste buds. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away.
